A story from Arnold Payne of WFAA-TV and Greg T. Johnson about Carl Jackson, one of the many black caddies who once caddied at Augusta National Club where The Masters is played. He began at the age of 11 and held the bag for Ben Crenshaw when he won in 1984 and 1995. Great stuff. This was a pleasure to watch. I wish there were more black caddies like the old days, especially at The Masters. No caddies knew all the subtleties like those pros!

What an awesome God fearing man
Tom Watson caused the Club to allow Players to use their own caddies, as there was a weather delay and the caddies did not get the word the tee off times where to change, and did not show up, so Watson and other Pros used their own caddies that came down to watch the tournament.

A lot of the caddies have college degrees and played college golf, but not strong enough players to play the tour. It is not unusual for Pros to use relatives and best friends to caddy for them.
Wow 1:36 , it would eventually happen because it was more of a profession then picking up someone from the bushes 🤨 really and he’s smiling ! Please explain this one to me thanks
