Played with a 16 year old Anthony Kim in a 2002 local U.S. open qualifier and as soon as I saw his first hole I knew this guy was special. Following his career and disappearance was heartbreaking. He was a great kid when I played with him but listening to him now as a man that went through hell, saved by good women in his life I can’t help but keep routing for him. Anthony if you by chance read this we believe in you and win a tournament or not, you have already won in life.

I liked the guy too, but at this time he couldn't play/qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour. He's.come in last place 2 straight times and I'm sure LIV paid $millions. LIV is a chosen, pay millions, non inclusive golf tour. If they allowed to do this, they can do it with baseball, football, and basketball. Not really because these are poor folks sports, but cricket, tennis, horse/car racing, and golf, Mmmmm? LIV can only help a few chosen golfers. Not one college golfer has been given a chance and they won't do it. Crap golf and I hope It fails. I am wrong, didn't all of them/most couldn't wait to leave the Tours? Now all of them want to be part and play on the PGA tour . A bunch of money grubbing liars. I for one have not missed any one of them. Watching the PGA and the new and upcoming golf talent has been great 👍

Anthony Kim, what a man! Knows he was not doing well through the years and was able in the last few to get back on track. He was very fortunate that he has a great support group. His wife is fantastic sticking with him. It is very difficult when you slide down the slope and the further you slide the more demons appear. I have known many veterans with tremendous mental issues, but with no support group at all. For many of them, it did not go well for them. I know the darkness personally, and have been battling the demons for 54 years, it is a daily struggle walking the tightrope, trying not to fall in the wrong direction. My wife, I think deep down knows that she has saved my life many many times. My wife never gave up on me. I believe Anthony Kim will be back with full power on, as now, he has purpose!

Great to see Anthony back on the golf course competing. Even better to see him get past the troubles that plagued him for almost 12 years. But the real story is how Greg Norman went out of his way to give Anthony a chance to return to professional golf. Greg had empathy for the guy when the PGAT surely had stipulation after stipulation just to get a chance to compete. I would suspect the PGAT would have forced AK to go through Korn Ferry qualifying to get a Korn Ferry card. So I believe while Anthony is to be commended for turning his life around, Greg Norman deserves a lot of credit for reaching out and giving Anthony a place to play.

Puhleeze.... Norman sees AK as most people do when driving by a bad accident - we have to look. He's a freak show, and will never be close to competitive again. He's a mere novelty and Greg and LIV will do anything to try to vitalize his weak product...

@@kyledavis635 is puhleeze supposed to mean anything to me? It doesn’t. You ma be correct about Anthony Kim, but you state it as if it’s a fact. The 65 he shot in Hong Kong proves he has the potential to return to form from more than 12 years ago, and that’s a fact. Very easy to be a LIV hater when the golf and sports media only bash them. It also proves that you’re not a golf fan. You’re a PGA Tour cheer leader or a lemming easily manipulated by a biased media.

True. Liv is a circus 🤡 Golf needs a come back story. Just want to see him climb out of his personal black hole.

There seems to be some confusion about when he started playing golf again. From what I heard on the broadcast in each of the two events, he was playing golf last year and broke his ankle which prevented him from playing for a while. He started to prepare for professional golf again a few months ago.

Love an honest story. All of us have a redemption story but most of us keep it hidden because we fear what others may think of us. Thank-you Anthony and David for sharing yours, you will both help a lot of people.

I saw AK today in Adelaide - very humble and his action, which wasn't his best today, was amazing to see. Gave him a shout out and he acknowledged, top bloke IMO.

I suppose this is what LIV is about and its really refreshing. I threw away a lot of great years to addiction and I don't want to miss another moment of this great life and my childrens lives. Yes helping others is the key for guys like us, it is our way out.

I just wish AK a happy life. I remember when he withdrew at Quail Hollow. To think then it would be 12 years before he is golfing again, is crazy. You still have fans out here rooting for you.

I love how David does his interviews. He has such a talent. He is what is bring me and others to LIV. we need better coverage. To be able to sit down in the span of a football game and watch the entire tournament take place. It is so much more exciting. I cannot wait to go to a liv event here in the states, if they would only get Daly, wow
