I've had my 2011 Transit Connect for 5 years. Here's a fun fact; a waterproof crib mattress pad fits over the open back doors and makes a little canopy over the back doors. I use some magnet clips to hold it in place. I removed the rear door panels and and fit a shelf between them that is my outdoor kitchen counter. Your van is beautiful and inspiring. I'm not a full timer, just an occasional camper.

Great build! If I wasn't so tall, I'd totally do something like this! The problem I'm having right now is making a functional space for my height. Everything works up until the having a place to sleep, cause I'm so tall I reach from the back of the vehicle into the driver's area. Still figuring it out, but I'm committed to doing this, so one way or another, I'll make it work.

So, out of all the conversions I’ve watched; I like yours the most. Yours is so much more felt left with the settee at one end, rather than the long bench seat taking up the whole length on one side. Your decor really appeals to me. Versatile, without being utilitarian. Well done you 👏🏻👏🏻

Except for the rugs, if they were wooden, I could totally see a Japanese person coming to your van and totally being able to relate to everything. Simple, utilitarian, practical and totally livable. The Japanese would simply roll out the mattress and voila. Wooden bowls, chopsticks and tea. Nice.

It's so nice to be able to drop in and see what you've done. I have a 1-person sleeper conversion from a Honda Stepwagon which isn't exactly blessed with a lot of room. Great takeaways from this video are the use of hooks and magnets (on the curtains), and especially the big one will be the extendable shower rail which I'll be getting and using as a home for all sorts of things to hang from once I've parked up. Thanks for the inspiration.

I've watched your van presentation twice before and yours was well done, Dee. I did a video for my daughter who lives in San Diego. She's excited to fly out to the east coast and we will travel across the U.S. together in my '19 GMC Savana cargo van which I converted myself. I've used quite a few ideas from you, Marie and videos presented by Bob Wells and Carole of G.L.O.W. Amazon has made a small fortune from me as pretty much 90% of the conversion items come from them. The other 10% comes from Walmart, Goodwill and from home. I've had a ball decorating this van and I'm sure as I travel, things will come and things will go, constantly changing. Today, I hung a faux plant, a magnetic dart board, added a personal mini AC unit (add ice cubes or water) with three speeds and internal changing LED lights. I mounted my Jackery on the wall above my cot and I can reach up to turn on a string of Luminoodle LED lights, a personal fan and the mini AC unit. My laptop will serve as my TV, DVD and CD player. I bought the Aootek lights you recommended to place on my roof when I'm camping...great for security. I have a small ham radio but no license so I will order a Cobra hand held CB radio for communications with other drivers. As a long distance truck driver I found having a CB can save your bacon should you break down and cell service is often nonexistent. You've done a super job on your van and you're well organized. I am seriously OCD so my van has to clean and organized as well.

It looks great, and lots of room inside considering it's such a small van! Great van and great video, thanks for posting.

Hey Mike and Theresa! Thank you guys so much. Means a lot to me☺️
I really like your style of interior arrangement, and I appreciate the most that you didn't drill a lot or cut the sheet metal of the vehicle. Congratulations

Really love the size of your van. I currently car camp in a little Honda Jazz which surprises a lot of people. But I am 5ft 2inches tall so it is roomy enough for me to lie down in. If I were to get a van, I wd want one of a similar length and a Ford Transit like yours wd do very nicely. It is small but perfectly formed👍 Love all the gadgets and your aesthetic. It is so pretty. Can see that you could be stealth because ppl wd not expect someone to be sleeping/living in a van that size. 👍😊❤

I had made this tour for people who had seen it on another channel and wanted more detail and a lot of explanation. I know it’s not like a regular van tour. But I was trying to answer as many questions😛
Superb setup - well though out and executed!

I love everything about this build. I’m hoping to “copy” many of your ideas. I’ve had 3 previous campers from lots of bells & whistles to very basic. I always end up back to basics. Thanks so much for your time & explanations of everything!

Great little van build ~~ I just adore this van ~~ the less space you have, the less space you have to mess up. I think you can keep things neater in a small space, because you have to. Am heading now to your shower and other posts. Thank you and happy trails ! Alison xoxox ❤️❤️🇦🇺

I cannot begin to say THANK YOU enough for taking your genuinely precious time to look up all the links to the stuff you talk about in this video. I have been in desperate search of small thin water containers for my car camper conversion and because you took the time to find the link for the clear ones you use I was also finally able to purchase the perfect water container!!! Thank you so so so much!!!! Keep doing what you’re doin!!
