Huge lake in rugged land, alone in the wilderness, snow, ice and freezing water, I'm on an adventure to catch and cook a trout, Smoked trout kayak caught on a snowy Plateau Lake -alone and isolated.
Land sculpted by time, pressure and heat, combusted to lay still, cupped by waves, now growing lichen and moss where dry.
A lonely tree in a harsh expanse,
Roots gripping rocks, delving and grasping deep, an anomaly in an otherwise treeless sky.
A product of circumstance, to resist wind and aching cold, it stands alone on an unforgiving plateau, as the snow gently falls on winds blown in on mountains cold.
I too am alone in a diverse yet minimal place, then to float further still, above depths of waters ice, fingers reaching below.
I like the look of that tree, it’s out here too, it’s a friend in an unforgettable and unforgiving land, I feel a part of it and it is a part of me.
