I have watched hundreds of van life videos I have never commented on a single one. But yours I feel almost compelled to comment. I LOVE your build. I love your spirit. Your healing journey inspires me. I know I need to embark in my own but being a black woman, I’m apprehensive to start on the rd. Because I do wonder about my safety. And then there is money. But mostly safety. I want to boon-dock in nature and just experience all it has to offer. And I don’t know of anyone to help me do a build. But seeing your journey makes me smile. I’m so happy for you. I hope that I can hit the road and find my healing sooner than later. 🥰

Hi I'm Betty. I had and still have your same concerns, ( 💰 and 🚔 ). I prayed, joined two groups (AARVC-BWWRV) and after retirement I travel a lot with the groups to events nearby, safe, good people I trust, meet new friends and have fun w/o any problems.

Hi, beautiful! I know exactly how you feel. I have lots of safety precautions, and I wrote an ebook about safety for Black women. However, the 1st thing you have to reclaim is your birthright to be anywhere you desire to be AND know that you will be safe no matter what. The biggest safety precautions I rely on are my intuition and situational awareness. Trust me, these are the most powerful safety measures to implement. I'm happy to reach out to my builder, but know that many people have no-build vans, and it works just fine. Please feel free to reach out to me and if my co-builder is OK with me sharing his info, I will.

❤Love, love, love your van & your spirit! I was so touched by your beautiful words on healing. I’ve wanted to go on the road since my only child was murdered & thrown in a garbage alley 8 yrs ago. I ran out of fear just after she was found and lost everything at 55. I am so inspired by your story. Bountiful blessings & happiest of travels!🕊🙏🏻🕊

❤ I am a 67yr old widow. Any advice on how to find an honest person that does the van conversions? I’m not rich. I’m on west coast. I don’t have a lot of mechanical knowledge. ( my two adult children & son n law live in my house.) I’d love to find a way to travel like this. I have tent & rv camped with husband in the past. I now travel solo, cruise & land. I very much admire you and your spirit. ❤🙏🏻

It has everything she needs and more. ☺️ That's a blessing that Tracy's husband is supportive of her traveling on her own. Wow that's nice her husband accepts her van life! What an amazing build! So much creative problem-solving went into packing so much into such a small space. It’s functional & stylish, and it really expresses her personality. I love how upbeat, happy & positive she is, and that she named her van after the late, great Nina Simone. This is probably one of the best segments I’ve ever seen: the tour of her amazing van is great, but the parts where she talks about the independence, resilience and emotional & spiritual healing that working on her van and traveling solo has given her is really uplifting & inspiring. Oh, my Holy Spirit on a pogo stick! I love all things travel, van life, and independence, but what I love more is hearing smart women who KNOW they need healing from unresolved grief! I have to say I’ve seen so many of the van life vans and buses but this build is definitely one of my favorites. The colors and all of the things you’ve put in your van as well as the layout- absolutely stunning!

Of all the van life and RV videos I've watched, and I've watched at least 300, I haven't enjoyed watching any of them as much as I enjoyed this one. This beautiful woman has shared so much with us in telling us her story and showing us her van. Even with a wonderful, supportive husband, a beautiful family, and a joyful love of life and laughter, she still needs healing from trauma. This is the truth of life... we all need healing from things we experience in this world. Thankfully, Jesus said in John 16:33, "...I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Tracey, you did a wonderful job of designing and building your van. You plan was well thought out and it appears that you have everything you need while traveling. I also enjoy the words of wisdom and encouragement to so many who may want to do this lifestyle but may have many doubts. Take care and God Bless. 💕
