Thanks for posting this! Listening to this now brings back great memories. I listened to this show on the night it was originally broadcast. The best part of this show is that Dave and Alex never give a straight answer.

Dave what a frontman/vocalist/entertainer.I bet if he knew that over 3 decades later (that's thirty years btw) that he would be in VH and have his cool sounding voice going out on him and us fans he would've taken better care of it.Regardless or irregardless as Dave would say I am very happy I saw dlr VH twice so far and both shows were way better than the 2 times I've seen hagar VH

I remember them joking about Ed not being there because he was 'off making a record with his boyfriend Michael Jackson..'. Ha.

its quite funny hearing a fan complain about the long delay in the release of the album 1984 (caller from the 84 interview). Diver Down was released April 1982 and 1984 released January 1984. nowadays 5 years can be normal depending on the band.

Sounds like Mark Goodman, one of the original MTV VJ's, doing the interview. I remember hearing an interview around this time where Dave says something about Michael Anthony having a "line." If this is the same interview, I was just thinking of it yesterday for some reason, so this would be a bit weird, lol.
