dude.. im 52 years old. I grew up playing Van Halen. Hes probably my biggest inspiration/influence besides Randy Rhodes. Ive studied every lick of every album through the DLR era so i know what the f im talking about. That is by far the best Van Halen tribute ive ever seen. parts of me want to say even better because Ive never heard VH duplicate a studio recording live, its always flying off the rails... you guys nailed it. attitude and all. The singer even got the squeals and shrieks down perfectly and it looks so natural. Its kinda funny because he looks like Sammy Hagar in the face and DLR everywhere else. Killer job bro. would love to see more

Also, I’m leaving the VH Tribute in August. I want to focus on organizing and performing with an original project (Trio). We play almost every weekend at times and between that and my Sr. Year in High School coming up, there just isn’t enough time.

Last show with these guys is August 1st in Atlanta(if Covid doesn’t cancel it). Moving in to solo work. I’ve been with the band since I was 14. The closest we got to Maryland was Central NC. Want to see this one, find a cheap ticket to Atlanta and you can be my special guest for my finale show!

Holy Shit, I just came from your garage band sweet child o mine cover vid, and it’s crazy to see where you are now and how far you grew. I’m 14 years old and have been playing guitar for around a year, and it’s cool to see yourself when you were young and how far you grew, it makes me wonder how good I’m gonna be someday. I give you props to be able to play this stuff perfectly, I can play like 75 percent of Panama, atomic punk, mean street, running with the devil, beautiful girls, and a few more, but its really hard to get every guitar part to the song clean since I’ve been playing for not entirely that long. Keep doing what your doing cause you got this Van Halen stuff and your guitar playing in general nailed.

I saw Van Halen live at the Whisky a GOGO in 1977, I was 13 lol! Back then you could erase the birth date on a DL and alter it with a pencil hahahhah. I had my best friends older sisters DL. When we got home and to hide the D.L. altering we washed her D.L. in the washer and she never found out. hahhahhha My life was just like the movie Almost Famous. I'm so glad I grew up in the 70's and 80's. We didn't have a worry in the world. It was all about the music and how much turquoise you could wear. I still have all my turquoise! OK now, Let's see you 16 here and the others are around 40. Your dad or uncle playing with you? You're all great. But at 16 you are exceptional. How does a 16 year old get to play with a bunch of 40 year olds? They hear about your abilities and gave you an audition? Or are you related? Either way, I when I watched you video of when you had a kids garage band I wanted to know what you were doing now. Saw your talent then and see it even more hear. Don't know what your doing today but keep putting yourself out there and in different situations around others who are already there and maybe your break will come if it hasn't already. Your good enough. But it seems today if you don't know the right people as you get older and older it gets tougher and tougher to break through. There's so much talent out there now with the internet giving exposure to everyone. Network. That is unless your already there. I'll keep watching more of your channel.

Hey! Thanks for commenting. It’s a weird story but I answered an audition call for another band. I was 14 then. When I went to audition, they had me so Sweet Child and Panama. It was a cover band. We decided on the spot to start another band with the same guys as we all had a passion for Van Halen. It. Was risky for them because I couldn’t play casinos and some venues wouldn’t let me play. But it all worked out. 17 now and we even played the Whisky and we’ve been playing Live Nation venues as well. We “tour” here and there. I am leaving this August though. I want to work on my own stuff and enjoy my Sr. Year in high school. And, I am not related to anyone in the band. Didn’t know them until I answered the call. We built a lot and I am thankful. Hope you stick around. Peace.

Wish I picked up a guitar earlier on. Just mess around with an acoustic now at 18 yrs old. I’d do anything to have your skills man. Van Halen has always been my dad and I’s favorite band together and all these songs bring back great memories. I hope to be a fighter pilot and always imagine Panama playing in the background as i takeoff someday with my dad watching. If it was studio recorded I would have said nice job but holy cow this is Live playing and this kid is absolutely nailing it... This is simply amazing! My guitars are all PartsCasters that my Dad and I built. I use Pariah Pickups (disclosure I endorse them). They are the best you can find, in my opinion. They have a line that focuses on VH tones. I play through a Kemper with custom profiles. No cabinet. Just direct and I use Empire Ears in ear monitors. 100% of the effects are onboard the Kemper. Amazing piece of equipment.

I do not, but if all goes well, there is a festival in VA Beach in July called Sandstock that my Van Halen Tribute is booked for. Look it up. Should be a good time and it’s outdoors so it may actually happen.
