Have to agree with that. In the 70s I used to WOW watching the likes of Bruce Lee, VD n others n now realise how "unrealistic" or unexciting their fights are as compared to todays fighting sequence from Ip Man n Jason Statham which is alot more fast n exciting n realistic.

The gang leader went from being absolutely fine to being held by the scruff of the neck and being repeatedly punched in the face with no apparent intervening occurrences whatsoever. It’s as if he walked straight into Jean Claude Van Damme’s mate and just gave up immediately. I just can’t process how ridiculous this whole episode is.

Every time you sew Joshua, get ready for a good laugh.

Even though all those Van Damme movies were alike, I really liked all of them and particularly this one. Bloodsport was awesome even with the bad acting, and The Quest, LIonheart, and probably couple more were pretty much alike. They were still fun. I don't like a lot of his newer flicks and some were unwatchable.

Because it has real action and excitement. Fight scenes were so much better too. I don't like today's movies either. None of it is believable, especially with all the CGI effects. I call today's movies - disposable entertainment. And people used to criticize these movies back then for a lack of realism, smh. Some of these flicks might have been a little cheesy and didn't always have the best acting but they were very entertaining and they were fun to watch.

@@philobeddoe3495 yep, I can't stand it. The first "Matrix" movie was one thing and the movie with Jet Li in "Romeo Must Die" where he was doing lots of wire work I could tolerate at the time. I figured they were trying something different so I was okay with it. But today's movies is filled with the most ridiculous unrealistic stuff to me it's barely watchable. Give me an old Van Damme, Steven Seagal or Chuck Norris movie any day. Jeff Speakman although he only did a few movies he was really good too. The only more recent action star I care for is Tony Jaa and I like a couple of Jet Li's movies such as " Kiss of the Dragon "
