This combination, elbow to the ribs, punch in the middle and this devastating elbow to the jaw, that was something 🙂. As I was twelve in 91, i watched this almost everyday on my vhs. Old, good JCVD. This movie was so heavily cut when it came out in Europe it was ridiculous! The opening scene with the brothers dryg buy and the fire is cut, the fight with the scotish guy is heavily cut, the fight in the squash arena, that entire fight is cut. And proberbly then some.

This is how we settled beefs in the early 90s. No guns, no knives. Just a wrestling singlet and our hair in the neighbors (mostly) drained pool. And YES, this is what all the local girls looked like at the time and YES they only wore bikinis and hair spray 24/7

It says a lot about Van Damme’s control in his techniques. Only a talented martial artist could play that off and still appear balanced, eyes locked right on you.

This combination, elbow to the ribs, punch in the middle and this devastating elbow to the jaw, that was something 🙂. As I was twelve in 91, i watched this almost everyday on my vhs. Old, good JCVD. Action movies in late 80's, 90s and early 2000 would be "poor" without him. Wish a good health JCVD 👍💪🙂

i like the enthousiasm of the crowd..iv been in many events like this..it was very common in my neighbourhood..we were going there having a drink and watching the fighters in the half filled pool ..we couldnt swim but who cares ! we enjoyed these fights with a drink.

This movie was so heavily cut when it came out in Europe it was ridiculous! The opening scene with the brothers dryg buy and the fire is cut, the fight with the scotish guy is heavily cut, the fight in the squash arena, that entire fight is cut. And proberbly then some.

I remember practicing the finish move so many times with my brother I was sure a fist like that would come my way in the future and I will get to pull the block and the 3 hit finishing move I think I was 10 Now I am 40 and I have yet to experience that perfect fist comming my way so I have yet to apply the parry and the finishing moves Maybe IT is not the right path in life for me to be able to live my dream :)
