I think leafs should look at Tyler Motte and Mark Kastilic on the Sens. If Florida drops out, then I think Lomberg and Gudas would be players to inquire about. My concern with the team as it's built is, they don't have the grit and tenacity needed for playoff hockey. We need an everyday player who can fill the Simmonds role, like Kastilic and a couple players that play with an edge and wear the other team down. Players like Motte, Lomberg, and Gudas.

Leafs need a power forward with playoff experience. They don't need more unknown good value deals, they already have plenty.

Is Gaudette an option for late call up?

Seems like there’s gonna be a bidding war on him but Nick Bjustad is a name to consider for bottom 6 depth.

Frost from the Flyers for a bit more depth scoring. I think he might be another Bunting.

crouse and olesiak would be amazing for leafs , big gritty forward who can score , olesiak a big steady defense man who can clear guys out of the crease

The Kraken wouldn’t trade Oleksiak, they’re in a playoff race. Crouse is cool. I’ve mentioned him in the past. But the price would likely be astronomical now that he’s signed long term

I really feel like Crouse and Jakob could be realistic targets for leafs because they would like a few roster players and prospects+picks

Have to upgrade to have a chance against Boston

I think Leafs kick tires on Gudas if Florida keep hanging around Florida is in a weird place also I could see Leafs looking at Duclair also

Big fan of your videos , but not the guys you mentioned.

If St Louis becomes a seller then the Leafs should be able to pickup Brandon Saad and get St Louis to retain salary. Brandon Saad could be a good fit as a second line left winger and can even move up to the left wing on the first line. As a 6'1" 202 pound left winger with Stanley cup experience he could do well in the playoffs

St.Louis has a tonnnnnnn of options for us. Barbashev, Tarasenko, Buchnevich, Accari, Saad i mean the list goes they have some guys that can fit well with this team.

We have better goaltending than with Anderson or Campbell..... it isnt something I would waste resources on.

They are fine in goal. They could use a left winger that is offensively productive but lack of cap space is going to make it tough to fit a quality player in.

@@Gl-my8fw Muzzin's money has already been spent. That is why they have so little cap space left. I don't think Muzzin will be back but even if he is ready later this season, they will have to hold him out until the playoffs ,when the salary cap no longer applies.Check cap friendly to figure out where they are. Right now they have $2.7 million, but that is because Holmberg and Woll were sent to the Marlies. When they are recalled on Friday, cap space will go back down to $1.2 million.

I actually wish this were a possibility, not that I think Rielly is a bad player, but he just doesn't fit the defensive style that was actually working for our team. When we were stay at home instead of rush, we were way more structured, recently we've been back to a chaotic mess at times and I can't help but feel it's due to his approach, and it seems to rub off on the other guys. Sadly, I don't see Dubas trading him, they seem to love him and his contract is not one that a ton of teams are going to be wanting, unless they're dying for an offensive defenseman who hasn't been scoring this year.

Reilly is the most over-rated, over-paid defenseman in the NHL! Just another bad signing that kills any chance to build quality depth, hopefully when the leafs lose again in the first round, it will be the end of the Dubas disaster!

In case yas weren't watching them play lately Morgan Reilly is the weak link and will be grossly overpaid next season and getting slower every time he gets injured ....get out of that contract quick get someone who values throwing open ice hits and can block shots maybe take a snapshot and actually play DEFENSE

The Leafs have outscored the other team 9-2 and out chanced them by a lot with Morgan Rielly on the ice in their last 8 games. Played like garbage to start the year, but he’s been better as of late after coming back from a Knee injury

I hope so just what I've been noticing but maybe I just really want someone who likes the physical side of the game I really think that's how you win a cup if they still had lybushkin with him he'd be alright or someone to drag him into that side of the game

Timo Meier is the perfect trade target he would be amazing and check off all the boxes then in the summer they could flip him to a team like ottawa Chicago phoenix or Vancouver for a really nice package

ye i honestly think knies will be a great player but i dont think he will be a superstar so if we are all in !! we get timo on this team we get engvall and holl off this team and grab mccabe and lets see how our goaltending holds up

So tired of the leafs bottom six. It seems individually they are decent players but they are all one dimentional who pass the puck around until they lose it. shoot it in the oppoents end and then never come up with the puck

Canadian teams cannot compete for quality bottom 6 players due to the cap. The system is geared to American teams being stronger on the 3rd and 4th lines. That is why it has been 30 years since a Canadian team has won the Cup.

I hope Dubas is restricted with what he can spend. This may be an okay regular season team, but nothing indicates they are "near" the Bruins or Tampa come playoff hockey. Time to sell off some assets in the off season and rework how this team is built.

Every team knows brock got his big money and then up and quit on his team, team mates and us Canuck fans. Every shift brock played, we were instantly down a man when he was on the ice. Lesor wont hit anyone, he wont stick check, he wont go into the corners, he wont go after a 50/50 puck. The only thing lesor was good at was wiggling his stick towards the other team's players. He is useless as a hockey player, send him to Boston to make up for the Neely trade.

@@davegray7551 yeah I wondered why he was re-signed for a bigger contract from that 5.8 to 6.5 this year, but with the context of the video, he would most definitely be a cheap option for the leafs. The guy is very linear for points, never grew from his NHL start, never hit, but still an option to get cheap with salary retention. I heard a lot of rumors about a leafs Vancouver trade, and rather than Horvat (at the time) I thought a boeser trade was the more likely scenario for the leafs

@@hockeyking111115 As of next Friday, the Leafs cap space will be around $1.2 million. That is after taking in the LTIR players' salaries so unless they can move someone off the active roster that makes big money, a player like Boeser or Meier just isn't going to happen for the Leafs. Buffalo looks poised to make a couple of big moves.
