I love how Bloom and Stella saving the puppies, instead of going after the dress. Foreshadowed how the winx, would later on have to sacrifice themselves and their own needs/wants. For another person, in order to earn their Enchantix.

30:08 can we talk about how he just teleported to Solaria at his weakest when the winx usually need Stella’s sceptor or the specialists ships to travel through realms ? It’s such a small yet important detail for me like he’s POWERFUL. 21:42 I think it was a reference to Ferregamo

I love it when Bloom uses explosive magic. On aircraft carriers, there's a joke/advice that goes as such "If the guys in red are running, you best start running in the same direction". Just switch it to 'girl with red hair' and the joke applies here. Aircraft carriers use color coded uniforms to make it easier to tell who does what job, and red signifies explosives technician (the people that deal with the bombs). If this wasn't a kid's show, Bloom would definitely have a history of making bombs.

We stan Sky being the ultimate wingman of telling Brandon to comfort his darling LIKE YES WE STAN!! Also them just winking at each other and obviously knowing what to do by pumping out a window was ICONIC! And Flora with her "Wrap" joke? LEGENDARY.

You’re czech??? Excuuuuse? I’m slovak and we watched the same dub!!! Everyone here is like: “I watched the nick dub, cinelume dub, the 4kids dub or whatever”, and I just watched the international dub, get it? I miss the voice cast so much (the barrandov one if I remember correctly). The s06 - s07 voice cast is fine too. I’m still sad they didn’t dub season 8… my childhood would have been complete. It's the way this season just hopped from one crisis to another, but effortlessly. The way Valtor caused problems all over the magical universe immediately, and all the girls get directly emotionally involved as a result, instead of by proxy to Bloom. He's truly a threat and that's what makes this season so good.

About the brand of Stella's dress, those are puns referencing major fashion houeses and its amazing! Wizrahi is a reference to Isaac Mizrahi and even though Fairy Go'Mo like in fairy godmother is a great guess it most likely was meant to be Fairygamo as in Ferragamo, an Italian brand

21:25:True. I think a nice and subtle way the creators showed the Winx maturing is the way they dress. Compare the S1 and S3 casual outfits. The S1 outfits feel like something girls would wear in high school while the S3 outfits feel more mature. Still maintaining that "Hot Girl" energy but more mature.

Aisha's name being changed to Layla being a 4kids thing makes no sense at all... Especially since Cinelume called her Layla as well for no specific reason. I've talked to a WinxTuber that got in contact with some of the 4kids crew and they denied that Layla was their idea. It seems like Rainbow and Iginio themselves decided Layla would be her international name until Nick came along with the decision to call her Aisha like in Italian.And also, all merchandise and official stuff like the magazines and websites acknowledging her name as Layla all around the world kinda confirms it not being a "dub exclusive" change. It totally must have had Rainbow's finger on it.

Just to point out im From The Netherland she was Always called Layla and there fair reason. 1 something I have to do do with internationale reason because not everyone whould call or caint call her Aisha it a really rare name to be heard/say in other country's. So mabey by Language it was chanced 2 it can have do something about Someone that those company need to chance those names, either to protect children & teenage aswell not getting suède or get problem with pereants *As exsample* : the Disney movie Moana, her name is Chanced in some internationale country's to > Vianna. Why you may ask? What I understand in the Netherland if you type the name "Moana" you will find a p*rnstar who was big (I think) for that reason she called Vianna 3 the reason what you said chould also play a big role and I knowthat can also literly happening I just want to point out that there chould be different reason behind some name changing

I have no idea which version is the one where Valtor has a deep voice but I love that one just because of how much I personally think the voice suits him. That’s just my personal opinion tho

YESSSS AUGH. This season was so much fun, it was _ridiculous._ Just like how you said it gripped you watching it off the 4Kids block, I caught a random S3 episode back when Nick got airing and dubbing rights and I was just so starstruck over how gripping the plots seemed to suddenly become. And yeah, I didn't watch much Winx as a kid, only catching random episodes sometimes (but somehow none of the S3 episodes. weird.). EVERYTHING about this season was so _GOOD_ (except maybe Valtor's defeat, but maybe 4Kids tweaks that a bit?). I hope to God KZread lets you review the rest. Every one of these plot threads and characters were a cultural reset and it still kills me that Winx Club never reaches these high highs again.

As shocked as I am that you skipped seasons one and two, I can’t complain! Season three is so amazing! They did so much right with this season! I sometimes wish that 4Kids could’ve kept the dubbing rights, dubbed the first movie, and we would’ve had a completed arc before moving onto the Nickelodeon years. But hey, I’m still so happy with what we got!

Chimera sounds like she's about to say "Aay I'm walkin here" in this dub.

Musa does look beautiful with long hair, but her short pigtails are just f*cking iconic. They suit her so much. Plus I'm a sucker for tomboys with short hair, so I prefer Musa's old hairstyle. Besides, it was nice to see two members of the Winx who didn’t have long hair.

Was expecting 4 after 6 but it's nice to see you clear your palate with the gracious beautiful season 3

Here in Brazil on the harshest summers and hot days, specially on the south, we have different degrees of hail when raining, like summer showers little pebbles of rail for a clue minutes. So it can technically make sense in a exaggerated fantasy setting like this that out of no where in very a hot planet to just snow.

It makes sense that they changed Musa's hair in her transformation sequence, but I still don't understand why 4kids felt the need to digitally edit old clips of Musa in the intro. Like they were trying to erase the fact she ever had short pigtails. Were they worried the children would become confused for a second if they saw a clip of Musa with short pigtails? Why not just replace it with a clip from season 3? It would be cheaper.

I have to admit, as a teen watching 4Kids on KZread, I had a bit of a crush on Valtor, too. What can I say, but I like guys with long hair and with a polished style. Though, he's too evil for me to want to be with him. Just throw his looks onto someone who has a more kind and gentle nature, and I'm sold! (Also, while I identify a demisexual, as per my pfp, I still have romantic attraction. This is an identity in progress for me.)

I'm going to be honest. I REALLY needed this today. Sorry to hear that you had so much trouble with the copyright. I was really surprised that you chose to do the 4kids dub, but I'm really glad you did. I've watched the series several times, but I think I've watched the 4kids dub the least out of all of them and I'm constantly surprised by all of the little things that they did to make it completely different from the other dubs. It was touched on in the episode, but I definitely think that adding in lines is one of my favorite things that they do. Honestly if I had a wish that would let me make any TV show I wanted. I would probably just wish or for kids just still exist and for them to dub the rest of the series. With that being said, I think this is a nice Segway to for me to start talking about the voices. This was something I actually found out a few years ago now thanks to one of Thomas's videos. The voice direction can actually make a.MASSIVE difference in performance. The example given Keke Palmer as performances for Nickelodeon and dubbing Brothers are COMPLETELY different. To give another example and one more pregnant to this video, the actress that plays Chimera in this dub is also the same actress that plays Diasparo in season 6. Also, I'm sure she did her best and her performance isn't even bad per se. But if there is one thing I could change about the four kids cast it would be that had the same voice actress as she did for seasons one and two. Also, before I forget I know I say this a lot but I just love how you're editing and humor blend together so well.and not just into one another but with the jokes told in the episode as well. Lastly, I know I say how good these videos are all the time, but I've never just said this so plainly. Thomas, thank you so much for making these videos They're honestly the best part of my week I know I haven't watched everything that you've made primarily because I have yet see fairy tail. Despite all good things, I've heard about it, but these videos are always a pick me up when I'm feeling down. Can't wait for the next video!😀

Currently rewatching season 3 and I like picking up on little details I would 100% miss as a child. The way Techna walked out of the room like a girlboss after she packed her things showing her development imo. Bloom still struggling with basic magic from time to time as you mentioned, I noted that myself. Icy struggling and taking longer to release Valtor, implying how strong the spell used to capture Valtor was compared to what was used on the Trix. Stella being 100% determined to get that dress (Don't know why they didn't just transform though) but not hesitating at all to point out and save those puppies. Stella's look as Chimera tried to spell her hair. My headcanon is she saw her and whispered to Bloom to just casually move to the right spot with the mirror Also, unrelated but wtf did they expect would happen sending the witch of ice to an ICE PRISON?? The real villains of the season was whoever sentenced to the Trix to Omega.

While Cassandra was already a villain the ultimate red flag was her insisting that Stella will call her Mom in this dub

I need to bring this up. It’s so stupid how the guys dropping off the Trix didn’t think maybe an ice witch encased in ice won’t work. Like. Huge oversight on their part!

I haven't watched/rewatched in years but i may consider one at this rate. 2) YES THE VILLIAN MUSIC - so fitting, so good, such a natural fit 3) 4kids dub 10/10 - Darcy sounding menacing but also sophisticated, Icy having the perfect attitude, Flora sounding perfectly maternal, Layla/Aisha's voice fitting super well for her, etc. - all the voice acting shoutouts you've made are so accurate from what i've seen 4) primarily winx viewer here but just wanting to pop over and say i do love the ATLA commentaries too and look forward to seeing more of those (since you mentioned that wasn't performing as well as you hoped, just wanted to mention this so you know at least someone cares!)

There are places that naturally get that "piss" diseased green water. The southern part of where I live is directly in line where two major rivers converge and empty out into the sea. The silt, algae, sand and other debris is often kicked up and makes the water brownish and murky. (There are a lot of waves, not to mention pollution.) So most of the beaches by that part of the coast look like this. (Sometimes you might get a clear day where the water is mostly blue green but it's not common.)

I never watched 4kids dub of season 3, growing up with the Italian dub. But I must say... it' s so accurate that I'm kinda moved. Tho I prefer Rai ost and songs, especially f9r this season. So sad they didn't keep Lucia Micinilli's Enchantix 😅

I cannot believe you’re doing this season. I cannot wait to see the rest - the peak this season reached hasn’t and never will be reached again unfortunately. Season 3 is my absolute favourite. I was hoping you’d mix the dubs (4kids and Cinelume). The Cinelume dub is my personal favourites but I enjoy the 4kids dub as well. There’s just something about the Cinelume dub that vibes with me more but that’s not to say I think the 4kids dub is bad in any way - just not my first preference.

If I recall correctly, they grew up with the 4kids dub first (but I could be wrong), so they probably enjoy some familiarity. Plus I feel like 4kids is the most underrated despite having good voice acting--but I don't mind as long as it returns in some reviews. Not sure how it'll work out since they were also pointing out differences in the 4kids vs original dub.

Hi. I am from the Netherlands and grew up watching Winx club like a crazy fan. i still remember when season 2 and 3 where new. Even i know the 4kids opening song because i used to go to the winx club website and kids in the Netherlands already learn english at a young age so i could use the american winx club website. I remember opening the website and it started with that song! I love it so much!! But i also loooove the original song because thats what i grew up with (in dutch). Btw Musa's voice in 4kids sounds a lot like the dutch one from season 1-3 like a bit tomboyish raspy and cute. Oh and Icy's voice also reminds me of the dutch one. I’ve been seeing similar comments like on different videos in relation to S3, with one saying that perhaps Icy’s power was underestimated? I do 100% agree with you though and it was one of my first thoughts too when rewatching the season.

my dad used to call Valtor "whore/how" cuz he whore eye shadow, and when he saw Valtors real form.. "thats not enchantix, that's whoretix"

About the pizzas in the 4kids bloom is not the one to introduce pizzas but in the cinaloom version shes the one who introduces it and instead OSS pizzas they refer to them as pies in season three just a observation

Because all around the world, if you talk about winx it's either "Under the sign of winx" or "magic winx song" that will be the first song coming in mind But as someone from Belgium, as a child, I still knew the "we are the winx"tune because it was used in a doll commercial and they kept it instead of using "under the sign of winx"

I grew up with the other English dubs. The dub Thomas chose here has the worst voice cast of the bunch, so I don't know why he picked it. Valtor doesn't sound intimidating whatsoever here - in Italian, French and the other English dubs of S03 he sounds FAR better.

I know you hate the Cinelume dub, miss no chance to bash it and the other international dubs based on that, given how much you love 4Kids, so I won't even respond to the wall of text you posted. I don't want to speak to toxic 4Kids fans. If you like 4Kids more than Cinelume, fine. But bashing the actors, making fun of their other roles, and trying to defend a dub that is reviled by the CREATOR of the series, just shows you are being too patriotic in your defense. At least in the other English dubs and the international dubs in particular, the voice actors sound like real people.
