When you have the Master right in front of you, Don't look at who's texting you :( Brilliant as usual Valentina :)
The voicing and clarity of the counterpoint in that Bach is remarkable,,, this is truly a unique musician
OMG Valentina...You should live forever ...
What an incredible musician!
I cannot emphisise enough how I love both hands in Bach's pieces. To me he is the best piano teacher. I enjoy Valentina's playing each time. She is phenomenal !
This is an extreme difficult piece and a typical example of how the GREAT BACH'S masterly composition!!! HUGE, really!!!
I played this in music school in 1957...it was liked by students in practice rooms near mine and they would gather in mine to listen...didn’t play the prelude as fast but I loved those days!
Valentina absolutely MUST record this piece and others of J.S. Bach with Decca. This is by far the BEST version ever. Technically brilliant, accurate as a metronome while never lacking in warmth and lyricism. She can playing blindingly fast but it never sounds rushed. Not too much pedal and not too little either. This piece was written at a time when the piano had not yet been invented and it is quite evident that Valentina is mindful of this in her interpretation. It is in a word, as close to perfection as one can get. Bravo!!
Very much played from coming out of her own natural ability to play the piano well and not cramped at all ! Not many can play J.S. Bach that way.
Around 2:00 I had shiver in my spine. And tears in my eyes. Thanks Valentina
Brava Valentina yet again! You are awesome. JSB would have loved this performance--after, of course, he recovered from hearing the sonic majesty of a piano for the first time...
Thank you so much for uploading this video!
Bravo! Terrific performance and lovely setting. Thank you! 👏🎹🎶

Bravo, Valentina, c'est magnifique!
Magnifique , merci !
First time I ever heard this Bach ensemble. I really like fast music and I loved the last one Capriccio the most.
That articulation 😍
Continuity of each perfect moments, as she played Bach's chords.
The chess world's loss was the music world's gain!
I'm especially looking forward to see the 3rd mvmt of the appassionata she really played it the most technical and expressive way ever!!!

Magnifique !
SUA INTERAÇÃO COM O PIANO É TÃO PERFEITA QUE AS TECLAS DO PIANO PARECEM CONTINUIDADE DE SUAS MÃOS!!!
Frst Argerich, then Lisistsa, and now Tffany Poon have either eqalled or possby excelled Landowska and Gouldin this piece. Standards have been raising in bach performance since the 1930's. WONDERFUL work from all five!

So good!!!!
You are the best my Diva
When I hear it, I always have the feeling that when it was finished, it had entered a flying Saucer to return to its planet. Lisis is not of this world for sure ..
im trying to learn sinfonia but I think im in way over my head with this one.
Belas musicas Valentina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
espectacular
very welcome addition to the youtube valentina library. for some reason, i prefer her earlier performance, despite the inferior audio/visual
Wiser interpretation than I heard in her 2010 recording, Bravissima!
Magnificent ⚘⚘🌷🌼🥀🌹🏵🏵
This shows that music is ultimately about emotion and not just technical skills. The piano is uniquely suited to render emotional intelligence. Human emotion and the piano work in tandem as if it is destiny and devinely arranged.
Excelente!!

Glen Gould has to share the bench with this one. I would like to her how she likes the piano voiced and tuned.
Why does it say "6. Capriccio" right after the Rondo started?
Hi Valentina, your Bach is wonderful!!!!! When will you record the Goldberg Variations?
❤️
excellent #hair
Doesn't this performance prove that it's not all about Glen Gould? Also, this is an exceptional usage of a Bosendorfer. Ha!

Puts everything in petspective..
impressive and very enjoyable Still.. will anybody ever surpass the clarity of Gould?
Fantastic Fast Fugue!
Courante : where please is thé 3d voice ????
You look a little different there . thankfully you playing is as ecquisite as ever...
@11:18
You mislabeled the timing of the Rondeau, and took it for the Capriccio
its bach not chopin playing it in a way as if its for schubert or chopin not as bach (glenn gould) (tifanny poon)
She is great. But you just know everyone will compare her version to the version played by "The Chair" lol
I wonder can she play the organ?
Really, you do NOT need a harpsichord for Bach.

That shadow is distracting. But listening is the main thing. Odd choices of rubato in places. Maybe I'm just not used to this style.
(1) The fuge is not that fast. Bach wouldn't use arpeggios on chords. Beautiful sound.!! Congrats

Leonardo Lorenzo.... And exactly when Bach communicated with you and expressed that the speed of the fugue is too fast?
