Legendary love affair will remain evergreen in the hearts of millions. Although, Suraiya couldn't get minimum quants of courage to step out from the community restrictions but intelligent enough to perceive the life threat to Devanand from community fuelled elements. Actually ,Devanand faced two rejections - not selected for airforce job just after graduation and latter from Suraiya. Chetan Anand consoled him and asked him to forget Suraiya . Devanand met first time Kalpana Karthik in the set of Baazi (1951) and his great friend Guru Dutt was attracted by Geeta Roy Chowdhury a popular melody singer . Thanks Suraiya ji! world will always remain vibrant for the indecisive step. RIP 🙏🙏🙏

Uma's husband Chetan Anand saw Mona in a beauty contest at shimla and decided that she was the right actress for Navketan. Tera Mera pyar hua pahli mulakat mein...a line of the song " tere naino ne chori Keya, mere chota sa jiya prardeshiya..." was a testimony of their deep love affairs. Devanand was a new comer young energetic handsome boy of 25 yr. while Suraiya was a highest paid graceful radiant beautiful actress - singer of 20 yr. Their love affairs churned the entire stardom. Just after partition, they dreamt to be one but Nani's strong objections ( fuelled by influential personalities ) forced them to separate once for all. Some claimed life threat to Devanand from community fuelled elements also a major problem of Suraiya. She confessed "don't want to be a cause of your life". And they got separated.

Love affair was not Laila Majnu type but beyond common expectations and ended with unparalleled greatness 1) Devanand became all time greatest evergreen vibrant actor/ producer/director 2) Suraiya decided to live in memoirs of Devanand and proved "Aurat jindagi mein ek baar mohabbat karte hai ". A greatest virtue of women's dignity determination and empowerment . 3) Devanand named his daughter Devina (the name they had jointly chosen during their dreaming days).

Few lucky ones have billions & billions while billions others are struggling to stay alive, earn 3 meals to eat every day, keep roof over their heads & stay alive from Covid, Aids ,cancer, wars , global corruption & ingrained hatred amongst MEN & RELIGIONS. "Aasmaan pe hai KHUDA aur zameen pe hum--Aaj kal WOH is taraf dekhta hai kam". We wonder many times if HE FELL ASLEEP IN HIS HEAVEN & HE FORGOT ABOUT HIS PEOPLE & THIS WORLD. Suraiiyya golden girl,dev didn't wait just 2 years after dev married even after a long time suraiyya wanted to join with him. Sad about her .She left all at the age of 34 .( In love and revenge woman is more barbarious than man ..German philosopher ferderich nitze) True she could have marry and lead a luxurious life , she never did instead she never married and lead a lonely life. 99 percent man opportunist , we can't blame creation is like that.
