These shorter snippets are so good. Watching the process of a game being made is so inspiring, i've collected so many notes for stray ideas of a system of my own now xD

Reading Equal Rites rn and I really like how Pratchett differentiates the witches and wizards, beyond at least the nature vs university. Wizards use barefaced magic, the stuff of mechanical forces and fire and geometry. Witches are more subtle; they use a little push here and a little push there, and tend not to use the big flashy stuff because they know that it always comes at a cost
I'd keep the spellbook but use it to make spell preparation faster. With the spell book it takes 10 minutes to prepare your spells. Without it, it takes 10 minutes per spell. And a time and cost to recreate their spellbook from memory. Seems then you keep the flavour of wizards without the disaster of losing the book. And you can still pick up new spells by finding a spellbook of another wizard.

15:04 That is heresy. Venture Bros is so far beyond Gravity Falls or Avatar in terms of its lore, story, and comedy. It's an absolutely insane show, one that so many more people would love and be into if it wasn't animated, unfortunately.
