Tommy, I am a recent subscriber and have watched many of your videos. They are very well done. Thorough yet concise, objective and informative. You inspire knuckleheads like me to take on project like this. You are teaching us it’s not rocket science and it’s fun. Why pay someone else for the minor-medium projects. Keep up the great work. That might be a world record for swapping mufflers. Also, u forgot to wear safety goggles when u put in the Dinan Muffler in your video. Safety first mam! Can't wait to see what you have for us next.

Just get the m performance titanium exhaust. The tips are carbon fiber and stick out. And the sound is better than any other exhaust system also the exhaust flaps work perfectly

Maybe sometime soon !

Dinan makes 2 different exhaust versions. One is a bit longer to extend past the M performance rear diffuser. So in the future, you should look for that version instead.

@@TommyLGarage I know what you mean, I have catless down pipes, 2nd cat delete and resonator delete. So far so good, now looking at maybe getting aftermarket muffler for some 'bass'. So far my set up. to me, sounds really good.

Get a AWE Track Exhaust it’s the best sounding exhaust on the market for M4. And I would go for the resonated version. BTW it sounds like a V8 and the downshifts sound amazing too.

Not trying to tell you to put the Dinan back.... but mine is literally cool to the touch after hard driving - I wouldn't be too concerned with Carbon Fiber, it can take some serious heat.

i know this is an old video but im in the same boat as you on the exhaust tips. did you try adjusting the hangers to push the exhaust out more ? or any thoughts on just chopping the exhaust tips and putting on aftermarket tips ? once again, i know you got rid of it as soon as you put it on so you probably didnt experiment with it. just looking to see your thoughts ?

You’re cool. I was thinking to get the Dinan power package for my 2016 M4 F83. Intake, exhaust, and ecu. A local shop said $1k for labor. That’s expensive. I can do the intake, saw your video, just saw your exhaust swap, wow so quickly. I can tackle that but need your motorcycle jack and car ramp as well. Do you have a ecu upgrade? I’ll search to see if you have a video. Thanks for the DIY videos, really helpful. And will get your same steering wheel too.

On yes $1k labor is a lot. You don’t need a motorcycle jack really. You can easily lift it up yourself and put it in. As for the Ecu upgrade - I’m running a CS map via Bootmod3

OEM downpipes

I just got MAD single pipe installed on my M4 with zcp, it's nice but I don't think its loud enough. I am now looking for a muffler but you mention it's not that much louder, is it worth spending that much going from zcp to dinan or another muffler?

I know you had the Active signature exhaust and swapped back. Curious to know if you considered their 3 can system? It’s currently sold out but I was contemplating getting the 3 can with their mid pipe.

Tim Gavin the 3 can apparently sounds nice but it doesn’t have valves. I like the flexibility of going quiet and loud

I’ve driven an f80 with an FI exhaust and it was way too loud. I also heard Akra and it wasn’t all that great. It’s been a month since this video and I have figured out my final state. Stay tuned :)

I don't want to speak for him, but I'm sure he wouldn't be a fan they are way too loud, and he's not going for the loudest exhaust.

@@kfeems maybe if you have the valves open all the time. In normal sport operation (valves closed when in 3rd gear unless open throttle) then its pretty quiet. Then when you get on the throttle, its probably the better sounding exhausts. Not to mention that I can lift the entire system with one hand and the weight savings benefits that goes along with it.

Just go with the MPE and call it a day.

one last question for you what front lip did you have that you said in a previous video it was flexible when you scrape made of polyurethane if im not wrong where is it from?thanks for your time by the way amazing videos !

They’re not removable unfortunately

No exhaust/midpipe/downpipe will ever offset the anemic sound of the V6.
