V7E19: Coddiwomple to Old Quebec
This week consists of three parts. The first segment consists of vehicle supported adventure as I explore a labyrinthine network of primitive roads south of Saguenay. From there, I experience Jacques-Cartier National Park during peak foliage and enjoy an epic hike. At the end of the week, I immerse myself in the beautiful city of Old Quebec, where I take in the sights and sounds!

thank you so much for another great video..Quebec was wonderful ...
Loving these videos
You're doing a great job of showing eastern Canada.
Sure am enjoying these episodes, thanks Chris...
Great content as always. Saturday mornings I live vicariously through your videos. Seeing you slosh through the mud it dawned on me all the extra effort you put forth on getting great shots. It would have been easier to just stay in the warm/dry Jeep and film from the inside. As a Jeep owner it’s always great to see these Jeeps doing what they were made to do. Safe travels Chris, til next week.
Your videos of Quebec are amazing! Keep up the great job! Safe travels.
This was a cool ep. I'm catching up on your older eps and working forward. I liked the first look out better but it's all lovely. Wow so much yellow. I'm from FL so I don't see leaves like that. It's different up there for sure. I LOVED the pumpkins the city tucks into little corners. I had fun picking them out and also seeing that big pile you walked past. I would have been uneasy about some else driving my jeep too. I understand.
Love the colors of Old Quebec City!
Hello I normally don’t write comments, but I really enjoy your videos. I am from Brazil, and even though I am much older than you, you inspire me to travel and see the world. Thank you very much. Take care and safe trips.
This is the best thing on KZread! Keep it up Chris! I’m building a clone jeep as we speak.
Hi, I very much enjoy your work in documenting your adventure on the Labrador highway and Québec deep north. Big thumbs up on the quality of filming and photography. I can appreciate the work and creativity you put in it. Congrats for this awesome documentary!
Thanks Chris... Another great video. Safe travels. 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🙏
Definitely a European flare in Old Quebec. Beautiful time of the year for your visit.
The look on your face as you bit into the grilled cheese said it ALL!
I am really enjoying this leg of your journey. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Chris, the large animal you heard at night might have been a sasquatch. Many reports in eastern Quebec

My fav vids on YT. So well shot, nicely paced, beautiful scenery, good narration without being excessive, and no background music. I look forward to every new episode. Great job Chris!
Chris.. the only red flag you need to worry about alone around a campfire? Banjo music🤣 Love the videos.
Chris wonderful content this week. Old Quebec looks like a great location to spend some time.
Very cool. That city looked so cool
you and pigeon walking in the streets made me lol 26:21. thanks for another great video.
Great video, Chris. I am adding Quebec to my bucket list. It reminded me of France! Bon Voyage.
You’re the best, man!!!!!!!!
Chris, every one of your videos is a big Bob Ross painting ! LOL, thank you.
Wow! Quebec is now on my bucket list! I'm sure your Jeep was OK, Chris, the valet just went for a joy ride and experienced a free night of camping in it...sorry, bad joke. Awesome video, man, and that hike was well worth the 10,000 plus steps to view that spectacular scenery!
Very entertaining, the shot when you left the dock in the kayak was very clever. I thought you put your camera out on the lake. Thanks for taking us with you.
Its Saturday evening, and I just wanted to say how great the progression as been in your videos! Your editing style and dedication to the adventure is amazing!
Québec looks so beautiful. Great video as always Chris. You make me want to get a Jeep and set it up like yours. Maybe in time I will. Have a great week buddy. See you next weekend.
This is what i want to see Chris: Find a waterfront campsite-> kayak to an island on the water-> camp
One of my favorite things to do when road tripping and travelling is to hit up thrift stores salvation stores etc.. books on cd and new music as well as other randoms. I am sure you can find a Coleman stove for a replacement knob. There is always a few at the local place. Our other favorite is library's. If they have a friend's of the library sale table it keeps us in new books and we donate at the next library.

It's absolutely amazing what you can find at Goodwill, Salvation Army and other thrift shops. I recently picked up a beautiful Patagonia outer shell, an Eddie Bauer rain jacket with hood and a pair of 5.11 pants (with the price tag still attached $74) all for under 20 bucks. Cast iron 10 inch skillet for $4. A wool blanket, Italian army officer, for $6. Apparently a lot of wealthy people live near this Goodwill store.
@9:50 your seen in the rain driving through a long stretch of muddy track. I can't remember that last time I've seen someone set up their camera while trying to get through those conditions. It's images like that that keep me coming back. Great effort. cheers
Great video like always 👍🏼 I hope you’re enjoying your travels in Quebec. Don’t be shy to ask what to visit. Have a great week 🤙🏻
The city views are as great as the back country views. Be Safe
It’s 2 am I just got home from working the bar and I have to be back in at 10 for a 12 hour shift. Good relaxation during a crappy two days
Old Quebec looks like a really cool place to hang out. Thanks as always Chris...
I grew up in Quebec, but moved out west a long time ago. This video reminds me of how beautiful it was in the fall. Awesome video! Keep on exploring.

You should see the high gorge of the rivière Malbaie and its acropole des draveurs .
Chris I enjoy your channel and have watched many of your trips. I really enjoyed this video as it showed so many different parts of Quebec. As for ordering the grilled cheese sandwich not to worry. Im sure you chased it down with a good brew. Keep posting and as always be safe.
There were some great shots in this episode Chris. The overlook of the valley, the historic district with the skyscrapers in the background and that giant clown head balloon(?) squeezed between the buildings were just a few. Also, don’t listen to the complaints about the grilled cheese sandwich. That’s on brand for you. 😀
Great stuff brother!
Come back down through Montana....be great to see some big sky country!
Ever think of setting up a trail cam outside your Jeep while you sleep? Would be interesting to see what all the noises are.

The Reconyx brand are the only ones that don’t make an audible on camera power up sound, which is the reason most animals end up looking at the cameras in most pics. They are pricey! I agree that it would be interesting to see how the animals respond to your presence, but careful what you wish for. Don’t trust the woods, ever!!
Been waiting all night and Chris just made it at 11:56pm.
Sean W. said it very well. I would like to add that you take us to places that most of us would never have seen. I watch your videos over and over because each time I see something different. You put your heart into them and it shows. Thanks Chris, safe travels!
Haha the look on your face with that poor little innocent sweet gherkin.
I can't wait for this year winter camp chris.
Looked like a very nice week. Never pass on the poutine!! And rabbit , that would have been a change from the grilled cheeses. The view from the top was stunning. You have convinced me to do a trip up that way.

There is more colour even further south because less softwood. My gf who comes from the saguenay could not believe to see so much color in the fall when she came to live around Montréal .
Stunning scenery! Love it
Excellent Episode!

Great job Chris. Some great shots in downtown. Loved the old cabin at the beginning
Happy you are enjoying our beautiful province!
Thanks for posting Chris. Love the new gear your wearing. Of all the options on the menu, a grilled cheese? That’s one thing you can make. Love your videos. Keep going👍
Coddiwomple is my favorite word. I started working my way through your videos this past spring. Another 4 or 5 and I will be caught up, but this video’s title caught my eye and I had to leave a short comment. Keep up the great work.
Once again, the scenery is spectacular! I look forward each week to the next episode. It's like Saturday morning cartoons all over again and I thank you for that. There seems to be more to Quebec than I gave it credit for. The wife says it's now on our travel list. "Overstimulated"? Outstanding! LOL! Safe travels.

That noise you heard that night while camping was me. I wander the woods at night and I smelled hot dogs and was going to ask if you had an extra. Maybe next time.

What marvelous fall scenaries in Quebec',,,, Thanks so much for sharing,,, Safe, happy & GOD blessed traveling, hiking, on your all journey,,,,
If you're in Quebec, you should definitely look into visiting the Gaspésie peninsula. It's one of the most beautiful places in the province and is very much worth the detour.
Very enjoyable,Old Quebec looks charming, somewhat crowded but a place to visit. Travel safe.
I love your vids. My son and I have watched em all. Keep it up!!! One day we might be able to afford a jeep and do some adventures together too.
Anpther great adventure bud. Old Quebec definately has that European vibe to it. I had to chuckle at you crpssing that old wooden bridge watching it flex. I wondered how it woulda reacted to my almost 8000 lb Durango? Probably would have had to drive thru the creek lol. Stay safe till next week
Epic video! Thank you so much
Chris - we gotta do something about your suspension rattle. It's driving the gearhead nut loose in my head every time I hear it. I'm sure it's driving you crazy as well :)

Some of the front end steering bits on the JK rattle like crazy over larger bumps. Can be fixed with after market parts, but really doesn't make a difference to drivability. Mine does the same.
Love your videos man, I’m curious about the winter videos.
Happy to see you in my State Chris!!
Great video, I felt like I was there and I developed a Canadian accent ah, thanks for expanding my life experiences, I think I had the rabbit poo.
Great work.
Great video 👍👍
Excellent video(s)!! Bring needle and thread. I started clothing repair in the Army! Damned concertina wire!
Another great video!!! Love your adventures!! Idea for you, get a motion activated camera to set in your windshield over night. Then you can see what animals are around through the night.
Love Your Videos. Looks like you got a Factor 55 product on the front of you Jeep now. I look forward to Friday/Saturday to see your videos. It would be interesting to have an update on your Jeep listing all of the repairs and upgrades you have done to it. I am guessing you must be around 150,000 miles now? Be safe and have fun!!!
Surprised there was no footage of the Chateau Frontenac!? Probably the most photographed building in Quebec City!
If you are traveling west of Quebec City, there is a place you might find interesting. Fort Coulonge Quebec, the Coulonge chutes are not far from town. Jims Lake Road is a nice scenic drive. Keep having fun!
Great video again, amazing scenery. Fall is a great time of year. Chris, as much as you eat grilled cheese, why would you ever get that at a nice restaurant, by nice I mean more expensive than average. :) Hopefully better food than average too. I do expect you'll be coming through the Upper Penninsula of Michigan on your way back south. I know you would never go through Port Huron or dare I say it, Detroit. Much exploring and plenty of seasonal roads through U.P. took one in the Jeep a few years back from the west into Tahquamenon Falls. It made me think of it more as a snowmobile trail. Many water falls up there, Au Train was a standout for me.
You should organize an expedition , I am in….great video
Very nice!
Chris great Vid Quebec City looks great I ams just starting to post vids you inspire me Thanks Chris and be safe see ya next week
Thanks Chris, have a great week.
I love you go to a nice restaurant and end up ordering a grilled cheese 🙂 keep up the good work!
