A strip of tape brings the whole project together. A 2" wide non s-t-r-e-t-c-h / Kleen Peel film tape adhered to the material on the opposite side of the sheet prior to routing will hold the definition of the miter-fold joint perfectly while the glue cures. Z Axis should be down to, but not through the 5 mil, 400 Lb. Tensile Strength film backing. Once the bond is made simply peel off the sticky* tape. The adhesive peels kleen and leaves no residue on the finished part. See www.allstaradhesives.com (V Groove Tape(s).

Thanks for the info! I am researching this method in order to make customized gift boxes. Just one more question, do you use a 91º bit like the one from Amana or just a 90º bit? Thanks a lot!

Thanks again :-) And as for the glue, do you use any specific brand or type?

Hi Thanks for the video. Can you please tell what kind of MDF you are using? Did you previously laminated it in order to make the v-fold possible? Thanks!

If you have a look at Hyezmar’s design in his Woodworking Bible, you can get a great alternative design for this.

I've got an idea for a project but am useless with CNC machines. So looking for someone to make it for me I'll send over some sketches and a rough 3D model of it I'll pay for your services and the material used.Anyone interested?
