This is the same place where ancient sogdians lived This region was called sugadh and was the satrap of the Persian achaemenid empire Tajikistan and south eastern Uzbekistan was filled with Buddhist, Zoroastrian and its respective native traditions artifacts Then came the religion of peace to make things peaceful 😉

There was nothing like Nepal in Ancient Times. It was Shakya Republic including North East UTTAR PRADESH and North Bihar and the South East region of Present day Nepal where Buddha was born.

Buddha was born in current Nepal.....but he did gain his enlightenment in India and taught his pupils in India ....he did almost everything in India........most importantly it's the Indian kings and monks who spread bhuddism all over India and outside India............ anyway his teachings are universal........
