Kalmykia - Europe's Only Buddhist Region | Europe To The Maxx

Ойын-сауық

Welcome to Europe's only Buddhist Region - Kalmykia. Some 160,000 Buddhists live here. Kalmykia is an autonomous republic of the Russian Federation, located between the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea. For the series "Europe to The Maxx" Euromaxx reporter Hendrik Welling has made his way to the southeasternmost part of Europe.
Join him on his tour to see the highest statue of Buddha in Europe, to hear the sound of overtone singing and to learn more about the rich culture of this special place in Europe.

Thank you! Yet if only one percent of EU or American citizens say "yes, Kalmykia, Tatarstan and Western Kazakhstan are part of Europe and yes that is culturally European", I'd be greatly astonished. Unfortunately most wouldn't even consider the European part of Russian beyond Moscow and St Petersburg "European", some wouldn't even consider Moscow European...

The modern sanskrit derived from bodo assam ethnic language and other maybe proto iranian languages to form modern sanskrit and devanagari languages. You can see all proto tamils and indic languages have tibetian phonetics because its the most ancient speech there it was practiced then evolved later

I Know that in the comment section People of other Religions May say nasty things about Buddhism and might even call it false but I want all of you to remember, as Buddhists we have no right to insult anyone even though they’ve done us wrong. We should always Forgive them and should always remember that they do not have the Necessary amount of Good Karma to understand the Truth so in reality we should pity them and not get angry at them. We should always wish them a Nice day and all the best in Life because that’s what Lord Buddha has taught us. May all beings be Happy! Namo Buddhaya!

The core teaching of Buddhism is the 4 noble truths (why sentient beings suffer) and the noble 8 fold path (how to end that suffering). It’s not a faith based religion as it appears when people see the Blessed One’s statue. Buddha always said “come and see for yourself”, as in verify his teachings for your self and then accept it only if you have seen it to be the case.
