What's remarkable is how he explores every melodic possibility, often veering off at tangents into side-streets, without ever letting go of the central theme i.e. spine of the composition. His ability to take risks that almost always pay off is unmatched. If the late Mehdi Hassan was the wise old man of ghazal, GA is its restless, youthful romantic, its Prince Charming. Another masterpiece, this.

I always fall short of words to express ustaadji's composition snd style to take every word from the lyrics and give life to it..very well said about the two ustaads..superbly put Dr Amitabha

@@udayvipra In the end it doesn't matter. What goes unacknowledged is the fact that perceptive and astute listeners are nearly as scarce as genuinely talented artistes. They are not a dime a dozen. Good taste -- like shared taste -- is hard to come by. It's a kind of gift too. And a brotherhood cutting across countries and languages.

Delighted to listen to this magnificent treat in the soulful voice of Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab all over again, ofcourse, in a different orientation altogether ! What a beautiful composition it was ! How soulfully did Ustadji perform it ! Beautiful 'lafz', coupled with beautiful 'mosiki' and 'Bemisaal' Gayiki, had paved the way for a 'Lajabab' ghazal ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! "Bahut Hi Sukun Mila Sunkar !" It's always gratifying to listen to Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab, while he is performing live, owing to his lively interaction with the audience and inimitable style of gayiki ! What's so special with Ustadji is the fact that he has an uncanny ability to catch the imagination of the listeners, while performing, by casting a web around them, and, carry them with the rhythm, owing to his majestic voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab has added an altogether new dimension to the art of ghazal gayiki by making it more soothing, soulful, and worth - listening again and again without getting bored ! Abdul Salam Saab deserves appreciation for his immaculate choice of uploads ! Look forward to listen to many more of the genre in the days to come !

This is one of the first ones that appeared in cassettes during 70s. The best one in my opinion, great tabla sangat by Tari Sahib, I believe.
