  تلوار کہ جسم، ہاۓ اب یار تو دیکھ۔۔۔۔ مل کے پھر وہ بچھڑنا، یہ وار تو دیکھ۔۔ ہر اک کاسے میں لیے پھرتا ہے دل۔ گدا گر رقص کا، ابھی دار تو دیکھ۔ الجھا کے گیسؤں میں، کھیلے پھر وہ۔ گھر بچا ہی نہ کوئی، وہ تار تو دیکھ۔ رخسار سے گردن تک، آتش ہے وہ۔ یوں چھاتی گھاؤ، بس مہکار تو دیکھ۔ وہ شمع کی طرح، اب کہ ہونٹوں کی جلن ۔ پروانہ ہے ہر کوئی، زار تو دیکھ۔ وہ اس کی گفتار کہ، یوں مول لے دل۔ کردے مدہوش دل مرا ، نار تو دیکھ۔ دھڑکن دل تھم نہ جاۓ اب کے یوں ہی۔ پہرن کرے اور عریاں، دلدار تو دیکھ۔ شاعر۔عبدالصبور سومرو۔ بحر۔ہزج مثمن۔

  17:30 seconds after he gets “daad” Gulamali Khan Saheb sings an amazing alaap spanning 3 octaves. I have listened to this recording from 1979, and never tire of it.

  Delighted to listen to this magnificent ghazal in the soulful voice of Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab, with brilliant accompaniment in tabla by Ustad Jakir Hussain Saab, all over again ; ofcourse, in a different orientation altogether ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! "Bahut Hi Lutf Mila Sunkar !" Sur (Notation) and Taal (Rhythm) is the essence of ghazal gayiki ! What a lethal combination it was ! How beautifully did both these stalwarts supplement and complement each other ! Beautiful lafz, coupled with beautiful mosiki and bemisaal gayiki, had paved the way for a lajabab ghazal ! Regarding their attributes, it's the least said, the better ! They themselves are their own introduction ! Hat's off to both for this soulful and melodious presentation ! Abdul Salam Saab deserves appreciation for his immaculate choice of uploads ! Look forward to listen to many more of the genre in the days to come !
