Was that suppose to represent the Abwehr? German intelligent agency, who are the very first to betray the reich, resist hitler from within, they warned the allies about the invasion of poland, france, norway, and the soviet union in great details (but of course the allies didnt belive them) later the fully cooperated with the allies intelligent agency? Intentional or not i think it was a great detail

It’s sad that Polands horse died, but it also shows you that everyone really thought Germany honored the Treaty of Versailles and wasn’t going have a giant army or tanks or an Air Force, it’s quite sad.

Well France uk and ussr knew they weren’t and were trying to demilitarize but Poland had a very weak and old military like France in ww1 and they couldn’t militarize as fast as a industrial power like France or Britain. Although today they are probably one of the strongest militray forces in Europe so they can’t get attacked again

@@qubed8465 The treaty stated Germany could only have a military force no more then 100,000. That included tanks, navy, and air force. What Germany did* was they started building “crop dusters, tractors, finishing boats, and enlisting police officers” instead of build “fighter planes, tanks, battleships, or enlisted infantry.” That’s actually why they didn’t know just how big Germanys military really was. That’s what Panzer and “Luffwaffle” means by the way 😂 And I’m not kidding, Chamberlain (UK Prime Minister) really believed Hitler was building farming equipment and industrializing his nation for the better. Evident by their 1938 meeting. That’s why when Germany invaded Poland in full force as they did everyone kind of pushed the panic button. So what I said wasn’t entirely inaccurate, it’s just no one expected Germany to have literally 6+ million active Solider’s and various personnel.

It's actually a myth that Poland was the only country using horses in ww2, Germany did aswell, the Polish tank force was better but less in number.

Like the Polish anthem moment. Poland is not weak, just unlucky. Being in the middle of Europe and being between Germans and Russians when they team up is well...hard. Especially when you regain Independence for just 22 years after not having it for 123 years, that's when The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth got riped apart by Tzar Russia, Hapsburg Austria and Prussia in 1795 after the III partition.

I agree. Found out I am part polish. It's amazing how strong and kind hearted they are as a people. If luck swung better in the old days, who knows Poland would've had a huge sway in concert of Europe, ww1 etc. At least now Poland is in the EU and nato. Maybe one day ukraine will also be in both too.

@@user-rg4hp3dw5q It was the Soviets who attacked us first, Poland did not just simply enter the USSR and take these territories, they invaded us wanted to wipe us off the map and introduce communism to the rest of Europe literally two years after regaining our independence (Not even saying these were Polish, not Soviet lands) If we had not defeated them, Europe would look completely different now.

Why does Poland appear harmless? Why doesn’t the video say that Poland also participated in the division of Czechoslovakia and it did not allow the USSR troops to pass in order to save Czechoslovakia. In addition, the USSR did not immediately attack Finland; it offered to exchange territories larger than the Finns had.
