That's really useful just to see how to do the coding. Not quite sure what I will use it for yet but as a lesson it was excellent and you make it all seem so easy. Thanks Dave!

Aww thank you... You are most welcome. - It's comments like yours that make it all worth while. 🙏
Absolutely brilliant tutorial on node-red variables. I watch a lot of youtube videos on Home Assistant and Node-Red. Your video is spot on because of the fact that you explain details surrounding areas which can be very confusing. Well Done! I do have a question though....Since this video was produced and now, the updates in HA and NR have moved the contents of the Nodered folder. I can't seem to find the settings.js file. Do you have any update as to it's new location? Once again...Thanks for the Great Video.

Thank you for the kind words and feedback. I'm glad my li'tutorial was clear and useful for you 🙏 I've looked at my directory... my settings.js is: addon_configs>a0d7b954_nodered>settings.js This "addon_configs" folder is one up from the "config" directory, the same level as other folders, such as: * backup * media * share * ssl
what are you using to get alexa to listen to your snoring. What node was that?

The Snore detector is an Alexa function you set in the Alexa APP. Make a new Routine, add a "when" >> Sound Detection >> Snoring. My routine simply turns on a a Node-Red Light, and I use that light's "on" to do the rest.

Dammit man … I’m not sure that Node Red has enough bits in a value to count mine… 😂

LMAO - Well, technically, you'd only need to first few to trigger something. - I'm not sure I'd like to know how many I made all night either! - "Feedback" _from the GF is bad enough_ 😁
