    The Fermentasaurus has a lot of features and can serve multiple functions, but a transparent keg too!?!?! LOL. Awesome to see that. Thanks, Brian.

    Pretty cool! Your initial review of the Quick Carb inspired me to pull the trigger and I've been loving it. I keep four beers on tap, and have a lot of thirsty friends and neighbors. It's nice to have kegs pre-carbonated, chilled, and ready to go, so I never have an idle faucet. Cheers!

    You're making a good case for that fermenter, and the quick carb. I'm not motivated by carbinating quickly. But the possibility of 'un-primed' pumping/transfer would be valuable in my beer kitchen, from barrels, for the odd bottling run, etc. Thanks for publishing this!

    I like the Fermentisuris, so many options to choose from, easy oxygen free closed loop transfer, ferment under pressure, easy to remove yeast collection attachment, no need for secondary, even hook up a co2 bottle and Tap line and serve from it. The Fermentisuris V2 coming soon 27L and 50L with upgraded butter fly valve 3" and larger opening for hand cleaning. Stronger stainless steel stand. Was looking at buying a 7 gallon stainless steel fermenting bucket but alot of them don't have the option to brew under pressure.

    Yeah smoke if they do it is not much pressure. The blichmann carnival has dropped in price considerably. It goes to 50psi.i know it is touted as a keg and a fermentation vessel but just as a fermentation vessel it's pretty awesome. 👍🍻

    O ideal para usar o quick carb é deixar o barril o mais cheio possivel para que não tenha muito head space para saturar a pressão de carbonatação

    The Fermentasaurus is an amazing fermenter. Such great value for money. Loved the vid, cheers! Quick question, I noticed you had two temperature sticker guages on the side of your fermenter. Was the one that came with the unit hard to read? That's what I found with the one that came with my Fermentasaurus. It worked, just had to get a torch onto it to read it. I ended up buying a new one from my local homebrew shop.

    Thanks for the video,great job. I'm looking at getting the Fermentasaurus very soon, I use a Big Mouth Bubble then rack 2x into glass carboys then into a bottling bucket. I like my results but hate the cleanup and prep! QUESTION: I'm in Dallas, Texas and summers are cooking. What about using a thermometer integrated into the conical? Can it be done without fear of leaks under pressure?

    Thanks Cliff!! There is a port down at the bottom you can put a valve into. The manufacturer does not guarantee the pressure capability after it it is installed. But you might be able to install a thermo well into it. Have not seen anyone try it yet. Cheers!! 🍻

    so to follow up from my question on your other video, this process and add a filler tube to the picnic tap and fill bottle from bottom?

  • @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    6 жыл бұрын

    You could do something like that. A counter pressure filler is more complex that just a tube on the end. There are several variations. Blichmann beer gun is one.

    I'm not sure if anyone else was wondering the same thing but I just recently carbed with the floating dip tube in the same amount of time. I know that is a feature of this fermenter, I used a keg with the clear beer draught system, but it's the same concept. You don't need to draw from the bottom to quick Carb .

  • @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    My thought was that if I had the tube at the bottom I would be drawing the uncarbonated beer from the bottom and returning carbonated beer to the top. Just mimicking a corny keg. Cheers!! 👍🍻

    www.clearbeerdraughtsystem.com Heard plenty of great reviews for it so I got one, will probably get another. I was aware there is a cheaper version featured for the fermentasaurus now , this one has an add-on screen assembly for dryhopping loose in the keg also.

    Short Curcuited Brewers Interesting video, thanks. Can you tell me how long it takes to carbonate the beer without the Blichmann Quick Carb, just using the pressure kit and the C02?

  • @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    6 жыл бұрын

    I would use the same method as I would with doing a keg carbonation. You have to remember that the beer needs to be a cold temperature for the CO2 to be able to penetrate the solution. My normal keg carbonation was 30 PSI for 24 hours and then drop it down to 20 psi for 48 hours. That should work. The biggest issue for fermentasaurus owners is keeping the beer cold to carbonate. I would change my method just slightly if you ferment under pressure because the beer will have some carbonation. If you ferment under pressure. For instance I did a New England IPA and fermented under 10 psi at about 65 degrees and once I racked it over to keg I put the keg in my keezer let it chill down and put 20 psi on it for 24 hours and it was the perfect carbonation. Hope that helps. Cheers! 👍🍻

    Short Circuited Brewers Oh I didn’t realize it had to be cold for it to carbonate. I have a fermentasaurous with the pressure kit but I have no way of getting the beer that cold for that long. Now I’m thinking maybe I should buy a blichmann quick carb. Does the beer have to be cold for the quick carb to work?

    tetman74 000 ok. If you are using a bottling bucket with priming sugar, cold crash (even if you just put your bucket in an ice bath for a couple days) transfer to bottling bucket and go for it.

    Why did you disconnect gas input to the Fermentasaurus when you poured the beer? Shouldn't you use gas to push out the beer?

  • @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    @ShortCircuitedBrewers

    There is a lot of residual pressure from the carbonation. Did not need to pressurize any further. Think of the head space as a pressure reservoir. Good question! 👍🍻
