Making a fabric paper background using a mixture of cloth and paper and a diluted Mod Podge mix. Tracey @artfiberstitch then shows you how to make a mixed media collage for our art journal using some stiffened fabrics, and tissue paper and even some natural materials like dried grasses and leaves. A little bit of simple embroidery and It all comes together to make another piece of nature inspired textile art about the love of walking with trees.

Glad you like it Chrissie
Wish we lived near each other. We love the same things. Luckily my husband gets it. He brings me all kinds of things from all over the United States, even biggish rocks, because we live in an area with loess soil that doesn't have rocks, not one!

Really? No rocks! Lucky your husband is onto it. Yes we must be kindred spirits, I am always find beautiful natural things on the ground and taking them home to enjoy 😊

OMGosh! You’re just like me! I just happened on your site just now and I’m smiling from ear to ear. My friends think I’m a little kookoo because I’m always creating bouquets of leaves and grasses and twigs and dried flowers. I stick branches of plants in my fresh flowers. So excited to watch all your videos…..because I also love fabric and stitching, quilt making, and making book bags for Operation Christmas Child….shoe boxes sent around the world with school supplies and crayons and toys. I’ve subscribed so I won’t miss anything 💕Cathy in Montana

Always wonderful to find a kindred spirit! Yes I am that strange person who brings interesting leaves and twigs home. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder so they say. We must both be Kookoo, but in a nice way 😀

Not sure how I came across your video - it was an accident, but wow! what a happy one!! I picked up two woodpecker feathers and some grassy weeds as I took my early morning walk today. I always come back home with something!! I just love this video and want to try and apply your wonderful ideas in unison with my whirling around in my head thoughts. A fabric/paper book has been in my mind for a while but not sure how to start. I think you have provided the jumping off point for me to try. This is the only video I have watched so far but you can bet it will not be the last! Tonight will be my time for exploring your site!! Thank you for sharing this lovely idea!!
