    Thanks for this video! I'm still back on the Osmo Action (1) but looking to jump to the 4. Have you used both OM4 and Rode Wireless mics with split channels? When I'm using both Rode Wireless mics on the Osmo Action 1 (and using the Rode split mode), it would only register channel 1. The only way to use both transmitters was to use the "merge" option on the Rode. I haven't found anyone yet that can confirm whether both transmitters can be used on the OM4 in split mode. Having the audio in split mode would help cut out unwanted noises from one speaker if the second person was talking, etc in post. Thanks in advance!

    Hello and thank you for your video. I tried connecting my Rode Wireless Go II receiver to the Action 4 via USB cable (tried some cables and they behave all the same way). Long story short, i'm unable to get a stable connection with the receiver. Most of the times the Action 4 doesn't recognize it and after several tries it starts recognizing it, which makes this solution not really depenable on. The Action 4 looks to be functioning correctly, the PC connection works, the webcam mode works, the 3.5mm jack to USB adapter works. But the direct USB to USB connection doesn't (or doesn't always). • @freelyroaming

    @freelyroaming

    10 ай бұрын

    There are certainly big improvements in the pro but in my opinion, 32-bit float is not necessary for almost everyone because only a very small percentage of people actually use the local recordings on the transmitters. Until cameras can record 32-bit float internally into the video file, syncing external audio is an extra step that most users of wireless microphones simply won't see any benefits from. You can still certain have audio clipping on the in-camera audio while using the Rode Wireless Pro. That is why they still have features like GainAssist as well as Safety Channel. Unless the user understands, using a Rode Wireless Pro can give people a false sense of safety only to find that they need to resort to the onboard recorded audio to save their clipped in-camera audio.
