Took a while but finally got it working. So for those who are having trouble, this is what I had to do to make it work: 1. Open loopMIDI, add a new loopMIDI port 2. Open FL Studio 3. In FL Studio MIDI settings, set loopMIDI Port Output to 1 4. In FL Studio MIDI settings, disable loopMIDI Port Input 5. Create a MIDI Out channel in FL Studio, set it's Port to 1 6. Select the MIDI Out channel At this point, if you press keys on your MIDI keyboard with the MIDI Out channel as the active channel, you should see Throughput change in loopMIDI. However there won't be any sound yet. 7. In one of the FL Studio mixer inserts, create an instance of Fruity LSD Now when you play a key, there should be sound, and loopMIDI should also be displaying Throughput data. 8. Open up Chordie, and set the Midi Input to either "Use All Midi Inputs" or loopMIDI Port. 9. Everything should work now.

Thanks for this. FL studio has a very confusing mechanism for setting where tracks go, compared to the other DAWs I'm familiar with.

You can also set the Midi Input of any VST to the same as the Midi Out Port, select midi out and chordie will work with basically any Vst.

It was not working without MIDI out either, so what I did was create a piano channel, then a midi out channel, then a "layer" (Fl studio thing). Then I set the layer to trigger the instrument and the midi out at the same time. It works, although a little tedious.

Windows midi device sharing capabilities leave a lot to be desired. OS X does not suffer from this.

Trying to use FL Studio 20 and Chordie in tandem with one another and the porting through loopMIDI isn't working. Not sure if there's a simple fix but some advice would be helpful

Also can't get this combination to work. I've tried every combination of loopmidi, chordie and fl studio 20 but to no avail. Chordie works on its own with no sound, but to add audio with a DAW I can send the midi output, channel 1 of FL Studio 20 to loopmidi, but when I select loopmidi for input in Chordie, it connects but nothing coming from the DAW shows on Chordie. If anyone has an alternative visual keyboard that does what Chordie is supposed to do, I'd appreciate you letting me know.

Set up a Combinator that is configured with a sound module and an external midi device. The external midi device should route to ChordieApp directly on os x, or LoopMidi on Windows. Follow my LoopMidi Windows Chordie KZread vid for how to set up loop Midi.

Did all the steps, not working... There's no input in Chordie from FL Studio

For some reason rtpMIDI was interfering with loopMIDI. IF you have rtpMIDI, disable it from its control panel. Worked for me.
