This was a pretty easy and fun little project to add a little decor to my off grid cabin. I used a 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4" fluted bit by CMT to make this project and they were outstanding. The sign is made out of purple heart and of course I had to add a little texture with my carving knives. Thanks for following the journey!

Would be cool to laminate light and dark woods together and when you route down, the letters would contrast with the backdrop. Might have to try that actually.

fun fact! what most folks call a *font* is actually a *typeface*. a typeface is an entire set of letters and symbols. a font is a selection of those symbols from a typeface. so, now you know!

I love taking a torch to purple heart. Not only does it pop the purple with a bit of heat, but you can feather some black into it to make it contrast even more. I would have done that to the Solace, so that even when this eventually turns brown, you'd still have that contrast.
