Dude Lata Mangkeshkar and Asha Bhosle are epitome of music. Just cuz u r a fan of Usha Uthap, doesn't mean tht u discredit the OGs. Usha is a good singer for sure and has tht rasp bt when u compare her to Lata who has a so varied discography, there is something wrong with u. Usha is a niche artist and it suits her. Bt LATA and Asha are globl phenomenon nd it suits them.

I shared this clip with my English Students - It was so good to hear her confident voice and then the song to boot !

In the 1960s she broke the glass ceiling against all odds as a young girl singing pop songs in India. In a way she continues to do that boldly to this day. Great lady she is. A great talent she is. My heart felt Namasthe to her and her family.

She is unique in her own way. She is honest. She is infectiously emotional. She is great. When I watch her, I don't know why I have a peculiar feels of motivation, sorrow and respect. High respect for Her.❤️❤️

Usha Ma’am was and is a powerhouse by herself. Electrifying, sublime and the best thing to happened to originality of Bollywood which is in shambles these days with shameless remakes and obnoxious auto tunes.

I'm proud of my father for keeping my sister's name after her. My father used to listen her songs in radio and he felt in love with her so much that he decided to keep her daughter name after her. ❤ Such a gem of a character and singer she is. Great performance !! There was and is only one Queen of Pop in India - Usha Uthup. Was privileged to hear some of her jazz covers many many years ago. Absolutely brilliant.

Usha Uthup, nothing short of fabulous! She has recorded in 14 Indian languages and in 8 European ones. Brilliant, and she has an honest immediacy that wins the world.

I'd never seen this performance before......& Yeahh..Its a 😱😱😨😨WoW ...And as soon as the intro begins I'm so excited & attentive to this vid... LOL ...Lots of love for u madam Usha ...Ur really a legend, Mentor, the super over the super.

Bollywood is garbage, that's the reason they could couldn't recognise this world class singer, wow one of the world best singer what a voice, what a singing and what a personality.

With all due respect, most singers in India sound like each other with minute differences barring Usha Mam. Most unique sounding indian artist. God bless you mam. Huge fan .

Since childhood.. I admire usha ji... I Used to call her " lady with big bindi"... I love her signature style attire... Beautiful singer... Beautiful lady... Beautiful person

Two things about her 1. She belongs to Golden times, the time we kids had in 90s of pop culture 2. She is way ahead of this time.

She is so proud of her grand daughter!❤ You can see it in her eyes. It's so so sweet. All mothers and grandmothers are the same❤

I've heard Usha Iyer, (then) in a night club as I was working then part time in hotel. Later after many years I heard her as Usha Uthup. It feels good.

Love her voice and great personality. Salute Ma'am...
