She was one of the first people in indian music industry to shatter the stereotype of typical high pitched female voice and made her songs more relatable and so we normal women with not so high pitched voice can also sing along without sounding stupid. Thank you for this. She is one of her kind. I wish todays generation could know her more. ❤

Usha Uthup Ma’am brings back a very cute memory from my childhood! I must have been about seven years old! A song of hers played on a black and white TV ( yes, long long ago) that we had back in the early 80’s and I screamed “Amma, Amma!” She reminds me of my mother! She’s a queen!
