Hi! Does Zoom H5 have powered USB port? With Zoom H1 and iPhone I get that message about the device consuming too much power and it doesn't work.

The thing is that i need to conect and synchronize the audio of multiples microphones (XLR) from the zoom h6 interface to the 3 iPhones which i need to record my podcast. I´ve thought to buy a cable with micro usb and USB Adapter, to conect another input adapter with 3 iphone cables to each video source, but i dont know if this would work...

When H5 connected to your iphone mean by default Camera app on IPhone can take Video which audio record from H5 microphone not from iphone mic

Can I simply use the line out port on the zoom H5 to plug it directly into my iphone using a 3.5 mm to lightning port cable? We don't have the adaptor for USB to lightning right now.

i TRIED WITH AN Audio-Technica AT2020 Cardioid AND IT WORKED. GREAT SOUND

The problem with this video is you want to use the H5 mics on the Zoom recorder which are far superior, NOT the iphone built in mic for audio. The iphone operates the Zoom video fine but doesn't utilize the mics on the Zoom H5 which defeats the whole purpose of why you'd want to connect these devices together.

I want to film outside. Will this block out the wind noise from my vlogs??

Yes sure, H5 very good on outdoor noise canceling

when I'm using zoom H5 to record and not as an external mic, do I have to switch off the monitor that we switched on or can I just leave it switched on?

I still keep monitor but still working fine. You need make sure H5 connect to iPhone first before open Camera app

But the iphone internal mic is still recording at the same time while the zoom is recording even when they are connected, right? I have h6 with iphone x. Thanks

Absolutely. You can run 4 external microphones/guitars + the xy microphone.
