it would be nice if amazon give us the video feature in the uk to to now we only have music and audio in the alexa skill i have send my compliant over to amazon asking why it has not give us this feature yet ! good video btw

Great video, i have a strange thing here where i have for example purchased the tom hanks film big. And when inask alexa to play film “big” it will open straight away. The strange part is i purchased home alone in the same way but home alone wont actually launch the film?!! Any help guys would be hugely appreciated!!!! I cant make sense of why it will actually play and open purchaddd film big but not do the same for home alone??

can you link your echo dot with your fire tv edition without a hub

My app is up to date but it just says music and books no mention of tv. I'm in the uk using s7 edge, normal fire stick and white echo dot

I can not really here you at all.

If you’re using the Fire TV Stick with a non-smart TV do you have to power the TV on first or can the Fire Stick power the TV on with voice command via Echo?

I doesn't seem to be able to (someone correct me if I'm wrong) as we see at 3:17. I will say that I have since replaced the Fire TV Stick with a Google Chromecast and the Echo Dot with a Google Home (see my videos) for the office and plan on moving to Google Assistant. I will keep one Echo device for Amazon specific stuff (delivery status) in one place, but will sell all the others.

It says app is unavailable on my fire stick.

I do not have iPhone. Can I do that on my laptop. Thanks

I double checked Amazon's guide (link in description) and it doesn't appear to be possible at the moment.

If I can not see my firetv in my alexa app but do see it in my devices list. What went wrong? Wrong FireTV Version?

Make sure you are plugging the firestick into an outlet instead of using the tv's usb for power. That was my problem. Hope that helps. Also, it must be on the same network.

Then I do need to buy Echo device ? Thanks

louididdy . I do not have echo. I was watching some videos on KZread tell me to be able to do that. Buy Arnu box. I spent so much for that still do not know what to do with Arnu box. Now I know just get Echo will do. Thanks for your input
