I think my battery life is good for me. I’ve been getting like 8-9 hrs per day on a used iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Well my phone has started freezing up at seemingly random times. And when trying to turn it off with the button it just dimms the screen extremely end then behaves normally again

Note/correction: Rad stands for Radian, not radius (in the calculator). My mistake 🤣

This update broke the tint feature for me, I had it just fine but now when I wanna change it, like 2 seconds later it changes the color to a very dark version of the color I chose

4:20 The option for showing those audio output options for Siri is now in Settings > Developer at the bottom, suggesting that it's probably meant for developers for some reason.

Just so you know Brandon, it’s degrees or RADIANS… a different way to measure angles. For example, 180 degrees = pi radians (pi=3.141592653…). It sounded like you were saying radius.

On a calculator, "rad" and "deg" refer to the units used for measuring angles in trigonometric functions. - Deg (Degrees): This setting measures angles in degrees, where a full circle is 360 degrees. - Rad (Radians): This setting measures angles in radians.

Everything so far is running correctly. I have read a lot of comments of things not working as expected and no issues yet. Also, battery life is looking good.

So glad i watched this cuz ive had that customize issue, thank you

Both my kids have Apple Watches, the cheapest SE 2s, which is great as they can’t play mindless games or watch KZread or garbage social media on it but can text or call us, plus we can track them if necessary.

@randomstuff101 the developer beta has been great for me. Some bugs but not so bad to the point where I cant use my phone. Public beta will be a lot more stable then dev, so definitely download it when it releases!

The auto option for light and dark app icons has been broken, hopefully the beta 3.5/public beta will fix it

Lock Screen Music button is a welcome 🤗 feature for me.

Thank you for this Video Brandon! Would you recommend to install beta 3 on my Main Device? I was using beta 2 and 1 and I had to reverse to 17.5.1 sacrificing my banking apps.

The “Customize” not working isn’t limited to all black wallpapers. A wide variety of personal wallpapers don’t work, switching to the Apple dynamic one temporarily is a workaround as mentioned. According to the Feedback app, Apple does have a potential fix for this - I personally expect them to roll out a refresh with a fix in it next week as the Public Beta.

When is the public beta coming Out somebody who knows please answer :)

I would not want a plastic Apple Watch. But I'm definitely the kind of person who is totally okay paying more for premium materials (to a degree). When it comes to something I'm wearing, I'd prefer it to be metal or cloth. I switched out the default rubber watch band with the magnetic Milanese loop one for that reason.

Another work around to get the customize to show up is blur ur Home Screen wallpaper or change ur wallpaper no need to create a new home screen

the new apple music queue makes the whole app far less miserable. iOS 18 is great for that

The customize bug wasn't just for black backgrounds. I had it happen to me with a full color photo background.

If the bottom of the “Plastic Apple Watch SE” is a glass or metal material similar to the Apple Watch ultra, that would allow the body to be plastic but still “feel” like metal

18:06 - I dunno. I'm still using an Apple Watch 6 that's pretty close to needing a battery upgrade, so I'm looking forward to it. I actually LIKE it still mostly has the same design, so I'll be there to get it in September.

iOS 18 offers new customization options, but it could be much improved with: Icon Sizes: Small, Medium (default), Large Customizations: Remove app names, Round app corners (for all sizes) and atleast a Dock Transparency slider

Beta 3 has been pretty good for me! Only real issues has been some 3rd party apps that are set to dark mode, will toggle to light mode when changing to large icons. Also the Apple Store app instantly crashes when trying to open it.

What I am looking forward to is things that I can actually use to make my phone work better. Things like the Calendar/reminders link, the Notes update, control centre etc is what I am looking forward to the most. I would also like to see the calendar get the capability to actually email me an agenda each day like Google and Outlook can. Dont care about the ability to make my screen look different and not really concerned about a delayed Siri 2.0 or AI. Everything I need Siri for today works. I will let experience be my AI

Why is your calendar starting with Sunday instead of Monday???

Don’t let the control center be reachable from the lock screen! 😮 Your device will be easier to hack and get access to. That is one of the features that gets deactivated when your iPhone runs in ”locked down”-mode for a reason

I really wish you could have Siri make verbal responses only when asked a question, and not when you give it a command. There's no reason for Siri to talk as long as the command was carried out, yet I still want Siri to talk when I ask it something. Right now we only have the option of Siri talking, or only silent responses. There’s got to be other people out there that would like this too. When I tell Siri to turn the flashlight on, I just want it on, I can see it turned on and I don’t need Siri to say that it did so, its annoying.
