Yes for preferably only for routeplanning when not in the car. The connection os OTA so depending on mobile internet connection. Recommended to use OBD-dongle connection for on route use as much more responsive and reliable. You can use both in parallel.

Out of your extensive experience, do you find live data that useful on ABRP ? I hate the navigation on that app so much that I would anyway miss the updated plan 😅

I got OTA 3.0 now! I find the built in navigation much better with the new charge route planning. Good job VW!!

We have had our ID.4 1st Edition for nearly 2 years - and we are picking it up today - with the newest software *finally* installed! This is/was a 2 day job - luckily we got a Kona EV loaner (the dealer is renting this for us), so it is an interesting comparison.

Hi Chris, one very important point so that the KM are transferred correctly in Tronity: you have to activate „automatic scheduling“ item in the Service In-Car-app. In my car, the item was greyed out and could not be activated. Workaround: log into we Connect via web browser. Then it worked without problems.

Thanks Chris! I was looking for something like this. My Seat Tarraco has this since years out of the box. Too bad I now have to pay for the Cupra Born (SW 3.2) but better than even writing down each charging. Since we share the car within the family it is hard to get all charging or what distance was the drive on .... Kids have to pay at least the charge they use.

Same here still on 2.4 despite sending them the I want OTA 3.0 in October,looks like it’s just luck at the moment .

Tronity has always been free for ID cars, precisely because a lot of information is missing, but I wonder if it will soon come to a cost when 3.0 comes out to all the cars.

Still on 2.4 and waiting for 3.0 update. No mail received yet.

Great video!! I have 3.2 (from factory) on my ID.4, however in the we connect shop I only have the “we charge” app. Any ideas why?

Don't be alarmed with high DC ratio. It's marginal extra on degradation. Just use it as it comes.

For Travel Assist you also need a special steering wheel. I have heard with that you might be able to activate it.

On hyundai kona it doesnt communicate very well with bluelink..it loses trips..did you have the same problem with id?I ve sent them an email but the problem still remains..(I have the premium version)

So far it works fine. But it calculates the trips itself. In Bluelink I think the app calculates the trips

The only benefit for Tronity is SOC to ABRP, the logging for the iX is pretty bad, it only uses percentages to calculate the consumption, which is rather crude method as it always rounds of to 1% … so the reports from the BMW app are way more accurate and are correct if I use the data from the car itself … Tronity can be way of …

@@BatteryLife Does it still work with your ID.3 ? At my ID.4 it worked fine but only until 2023-01-01. Since then there are no new trips recorded ... Also the "Km Stand" is now stuck on the value from the first of January ...

If I understand it right, you need to add the myVolkswagen credentials for the connection. Is this secure as you are able to book services with this credentials?

Yeah, this looks very problematic for me. I like all the features, but no way on Earth I’m giving my credentials for my cars online service to a third party. Get a token, fine so I can revoke if needed.
