Use this rigging technique on Senkos to catch more Bass

Nose rigging my soft plastics has been a game changer. Whether it’s a fluke or stick bait, nose hooking has been super productive for me. Products used in this video were the small owner centering pin, googan wacky hook, and the fish or die ramrod. Thanks for checking out the video.

Minus the centering pin this is the way Gary Yamamoto Rigs his senkos for the past 35+ years except for he uses a 25 pound fluorocarbon line tied to the hook with a snell knot to make it weedless instead of using a weedless hook. He says because of this everybody else has to set the hook all the time, and all he has to do is reel into them, and with this method, he hooks them perfectly everytime. I saw it on a video with gary Yamamoto and Jimmy Houston fishing together where he demonstrates how he has been tying it for 35+ years. There are other demonstrations, but I think the one with him and Jimmy Houston was the best one on KZread. Great idea on the centering pin should save a lot of baits especially senkos since they’re so much more supple and more full of salt than the other companies. Best method of fishing a senko hands-down I’m glad somebody else thinks so. you would think that him being the maker of this bait people would follow behind him on the way he rigs it being that he’s the one that invented it and catches more fish on it than anybody I’ve ever seen on video and I watch a ton lol but everybody’s always fishing it wacky and Texas

The action is so much better nose hooking them. I honestly feel like I get 2 bites to every one on a nose hook vs Texas rigged. Using the centering pin honestly allows me to catch 5 or 6 fish before I have to switch out the bait. I love the passion behind your response! Tight lines!
