@@Rabbits6ix it's just annoying that , other than the U.S. there's no competition. Countries have had 40 years to build their program but still enter teams that get blown out in every tournament. It's still a 2 country sport. Boring

She let off 6 goals in 30 shots. Thats .800 sv percentage. A near post and a 5-hole blunders from 15 ft away cost the game. It would also help to have idk CHECKING

they did improve their game in 2 years. At Olimpisc only Canada team knew how to play the game and look as the only decent team at the tournament. USA was half of them. Now, 2 years later, US fought til the end. Good for them

Exceptional game from both teams; so proud of all of you. As a Canadian, I celebrate our young woman; however, I would be remiss if I didn't congratulate Team USA on a hard fought game which was so entertaining from start to finish. All should hold their head high!!

@@spittinvenom9843 It had a lot of the top NCAA talent sprinkled in too. In fact the US team was actually more NCAA talent (56% of the team.) While Canada only had 4 NCAA players.

Nuh-uh. Both goalies has about an 80% save percentage in this game. By comparison, they both occupy ~70% of the goal mouth. Meaning: If they'd have stood stock-still the whole game, they wouldn't have fared much worse. Both goalies hugely benefited from the number of shots that were absolutely sprayed all over the place. Too many of that insanely-high number of goals looked more like rugby plays.

The US team was more NCAA all-stars. While the majority of the Canadian team was people from the PWHL. Not surprised Canada won this time. They had a lot more experience, but the future looks really bright for the US team in the future.

Women's basketball actually drew a bigger crowd for March madness than the men, and the last women's world cup's had over a billion people globally watch the tournament. Combine that with a rising interest women's hockey, and you have a lot more people taking women's team sports more seriously which is great.

Absolute bravo to both teams, i saw the game live... pure hockey goodness. So much talent!!

The US team are younger and less experienced. 56% of their team was NCAA stars this past year... while the Canadian team was mostly (83%) women from the PWHL.

High class game congrats to Kanada but lay my head for the USA too

I dont quite kno what it was but I think having them play through the year in the PWHL made this game just...a spectacle.

Of course if we're talking about what I meant(which is all international hockey over the last 12 months), we're still talking about how the U.S has been cleaning up with last year's men's tournament, the hlinka cup, and now this women's tournament being the only times the US fail to get gold.
