For non-Spanish speakers. Cachin tells him at the end... "you have made my dream come true (playing that match) and I don't know if it is breaking protocol but I would like to have your shirt." Nadal tells him that he does give it to him inside and they wish each other the best of luck.

I really would like to know the exact nice words of Pedro at the end, Rafa looks shy and impressed. I can hear more or less "gracias por el partido, he cumplido mi sueño...me estoy saltando el protocolo pero da igual, gracias de verdad". Rafa answers very kindly "Muchas gracias, un placer por mi parte". And definitely you can see the words touch his hearth, like one minute later (not shown in this video) Rafa goes to Pedro to give him a small hug. WONDERFUL BOTH.

Is something like "thanks for the match, you have come true a dream for me. I dont know if the protocol allows it, but, can I have your shirt or something of yours" and Nadal says "Yes of course...thank you, it's been an honor for me, thank you" Thats the main idea haha
At the net Cachin said “Thank you Rafa you’ve helped me fulfil a dream.” And then said “I don’t know if the protocol will allow it but I would like to have one of your shirts.” Rafa obliged 👏
This is the most beautiful, the way Rafa listens at the end; he's a listener, communicator. He's so clear in his tennis, in his interviews. He feels no regrets, but tries his best every second. Beautiful man. Thank you Rafa. Tearing and crying at your effort and love of playing and winning.

@@harryp3804 What Cachin has shown in the 2nd and 3rd set could be I guess sufficient for many decent players I guess but Rafa showed why he is forever king of the clay (Rafa really got the rhythm throughout the match and seemed I guess remind younger himself). Just first set was horrible for Pedro and that he is just a boy to beat which appeared later to be wrong. Off course I've seen better performances but still quite impressive comparing to the 1st set.
What an athlete.. . Resilient.. Experienced ... And that MENTALITY.... Thanks Mr NADAL for all those years.. VAMOOOSS
Take it in. Admire it, and enjoy this while it lasts. A man who overcomes so many obstacles with every ounce of fight he has. A brilliant human being and athlete who is delivering us his last moments of magic. Vamos always. Our king of clay.🇪🇸
People saying Rafa can't do damage hereon because he was pushed to 3 sets by a lesser player are mistaken: the guy was incredibly sharp in the first set and in the De Minaur match. He had a momentary lapse in focus and form in the second set, which is bound to happen given the lack of recent match play. Expect him to come out all guns blazing in the proceeding weeks.

Great match. Rafa was aware that a possible long battle was on the horizon, he spoke about that in previous conferences/interview. Cachin is a veteran of clay courts with a great spirit and well-rounded strokes, no surprise in watching him fight like this. What is surprising is Rafa's mentality, finding the courage and strength to keep grinding at this age, with his body and under such pressure. Grateful of being able to watch this live.

This made my day! I wasn’t able to watch the match but thank you for these highlights, Tennis TV! Rest up, Rafa❤ Will be here supporting you.❤
Nice exchange at the end, happy to see Rafa enjoying his farewell year on tour ❤
Great result for Rafa. He realized he needed to stop going cross-court 100% of the time with his forehand to surprise Cachin and make him doubt. Even though his down the line was riskier than usual because his movement to his forehand is still a bit compromised, it was enough to put Cachin out of position and to stop expecting the cross-court forehand. Rafa had to use all of his experience and make the adjustments to win today. A potential QF against Medvedev seems the best he can hope for right now, though, but let's see how well he recovers!
The backhand is at 80%. The forehand is at 70%. Still needs that down the line screamer. He fixed the depth of shot in set 3. Makes me hopeful for RG. Vamos Rafa! What a fighter!
Love it when champions age because their heart and grit become far more visible. Nadal no longer steamrolling opponents on clay but using courage and smarts. What a chapter being written in his tennis story.
