Anyone using Comic Sans, for any reason, should be burned at the stake.

Don't forget Paul Gilberts fav... The TC MojoMojo Overdrive. I think you can pick one up for around $50 or less.

They sound so consistently great, always have. Pete, that hansen dare I say sounds nicer that the purple beast, are they hansens own pickups in there? Sounds bloody awesome man 🎸👌

Got the BB preamp right away when I heard Andy Timmons use it. When was that? late 2000's? I even have the Andy Timmons signature one, released in 2006. You never go wrong with Xotic. But the drive pedal horizon is too crowded now. It is hard to make a choice, traditional, boutique, there are hundred's of choices!

I use the RC Booster for the EQ.. My Fender only has a tone knob...this helps.

Just plugged my vertex steel string clean drive into my Roland blues cube 80W that I bought on epic deal a while back. OMG I’m in tone heaven. I bet my tone would rival a Dumble

I'm watching old Blindfold challenges and shootouts again and again. It's because now Andertons don't shoot them. I found a video where one year ago Chappers said, "It's so boring to review gear by just explaining what it is". Seems like Lee didn't hear him.

RC/AC Booster separate and stacked is phenomenal, could live with that for a long time before the urge to swap out arises. The Oz Noy dual is a bit different, I prefer the OGs. I think the secret is the semi-active EQ controls. Not Baxandall, more like Bax-and-some.

Why would TPS do that? They don't do that hardly at all, they have people they know every blue moon but that's about it.

I'm a proud owner of the bb preamp AT and I think this pedal really sounds awesome with humbucker. I play it with my Les Paul Trad. and to be fair nothing reassemble more of a high gain marshall. However when I play it with my mexican strat doesn't shine as much... I think that happened in this video, so I'd recommend it if you are thinking about buying one but this demo didn't convince you. Cheers :)

Mauricio Carreno the bb is not tye one to get fir high gain Marshall sounds. JHS AT May do it. or the Angry Charlie. Or the Xotic SL.

@@mattgilbert7347 I use a Catalinbread RAH with a Lonestar outfitted with EL34's and it really nails the Page Hiwatt tones... add a splash of OCD and its pretty decent Zep 2 to HOTH.. even with a Blues Jr I can get reasonably close, so I believe you on the Bassbreaker. (I use a 2011 Nighthawk btw which is the model outfitted with coil tap burstbuckers and ceramic blade p/u in the middle pos) Peace brother

I'm one click away from buying myself one. However, I've just noticed there will be a version with a compressor released in October. So it will contain The Bends in place of the second drive. Would you be so kind and help me make a decision on which one to buy?

ayeapprove its a great pedal but it’s a high gain pedal. Unless I guess you lower the gain. New for only $99 great deal.

Is it just me, or did the red version of the SL Drive sounds like crap compared to the normal one? Because I own one myself and it sounds fantastic! But in this video it sounds more like a broken fuzz pedal to me... And such a bad sounding SL Drive makes me sad :'(

That's because he played it on the neck pickup during that first bit- and yeah, it sounded pretty bad but that's just how they sound through the neck pickup. You get tons of sustain but a horribly woofy bottom end- like a fuzz pedal. It sounded much better when he did that loop at the end because he finally shifted to his bridge pickup. The red SL drive is identical in every way to the black one- they're not different in anyway other than the color of the enclosure. The dip switches on the bottom were also left in factory default setting so- I don't know which that is but maybe you're used to a different setting. It changes the character of the drive pretty severely imo. The super lead mode is bright with tons of gain while the super bass mode seems to have less gain and more bottom end. I like the SB mode on my Strat which has the super bright bridge pickup in it, this setting kind of tames that high end. But I prefer the SL setting for my LP which is much darker and has too much low end- needs something to brighten it up.

Careful buying the BB, guys. Lots of crap copies out there now. If it seems to good to be true it probably is. Finding a used BB that is not fake is a minefield right now. Buying new from the likes of Andertons etc may be the only sure way.

I watch people because I like what they play not to try and dictate what they play to suit my tastes. Real musicians aren’t like Spotify and don’t suit they’re playing to the every persons play list. IMHO How would one do that on the inter web anyway? Play all styles for every vid?
