Kudos to that guy at 6:00 who came flying over the top and carried enough speed through the turn that he didnt need to pedal until after the next corner. I see you, dude.

If I'm not mistaken, that's Drew Dillman of Texas Roadhouse. He's got a YT channel to and is a hell of a racer himself.

I grew up skateboard loving the art of rally (group B as well), GT, F1, isle of man TT, moto GP, 3 wheelers , etc And it wasn't until a few months ago, at 37 years old, that I discovered this gnarly racing and find myself elevating my soul on my own single speed. Absolutely beautiful
Ryan is a beast. If he had just one teammate it's game over.
the last 3 laps are so unbelievably intense! cudos to ryan, what an animal
What an effort on that last lap!! Pushing through the wind with zero help. Probably would have been all yours if you went a little bit later but I can imagine that can be very tough to call. You picked your spot and came up a little short on this day. No shame in that. Totally impressive ride and inspiring despite slipping back there at the end. I happened to watch the whole race atop my Peloton bike doing some training and the watts and mph you guys were putting down is humbling. Keep up the excellent work! You’ll get em’ next time ;)

He won in my mind.
really enjoy you showing us a whole race!!!!!!! more please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The patience and timing, the output at the end, the speed throughout. I was on the edge of my “saddle” the whole time. This was Fkn brilliant and truly a great view of what we all go through. Absolutely one of the best race POVs I’ve seen in a long time. Seriously, the patience was so amazing. I learned a lot watching this.
Watching this every TrainerRoad workout. Thanks Jeff!
Heart pounding finish! Inspirational stuff. Great job!
I really love your channel, and I really love how you race this crits. Fantastic!!!!
The effort on the last lap is impressive kudos👐
Man, those power numbers and that heart rate! Yikes! Good race!
Intense footage. I totally got sucked in. Hard riding indeed. That lead-out was epic.
Cool, now I can feel stressed for an hour, vs the usual 10-15 minutes of stress that I feel when I watch your other crit videos! (But for real though, thanks for this, it’s a great idea!)
Ryan simply awesome! What a beast 🙌🏽 shame it was some hundred meters too early - would have been such a finish! Much respect for fighting without a team mate
Thanks! I have 1 hour trainning today on TR! Already have something to watch.
Full race! Cool. Thx for posting.
Those corners.... those last 3 laps.... incredible. But I was also struck by the dramatic lack of spectators. Mission Crit SF had a much bigger crowd, for example. It's freaking nationals, doesn't anyone want to watch? But incredible racing....

I made it out to this race and there were crazy thunderstorms right up until the start of the race, which ended up being delayed. I think it scared a lot of the spectators off unfortunately.

Roanoke VA is no where near as big as SF and has no large cycling culture.
That last km looked especially painful
Impresionante el esfuerzo!!!! Excelente competencia!!!! Saludos desde Uruguay 🇺🇾

Damn the guy riding did a great job of surfing the wheels, and that was a strong attack at the end. These dudes are all so fast. jeez.
I'm here because of Windbreaker.
Incredible racing skills.
Wow great ride! Good go at it!
I wanna say thank you, there is so much to learn from this video and btw, YOU`RE A BEAST, really, really nice performance, you deserved better than that, just stay cool and behind much longer next time! You really got some watts in your legs, good job man, really nice!! ♥ Kind regards from Austria, Christian PS: Do you have an allrounder or sprinter profile? Guess allrounder but with very good sprint qualitys right?
What’s a legend. He won in my mind.
Wooww, that was amazing. great race.
You win the heart 🎉🎉🎉
This looks so cool.
amazing race..
nicely done!
Love to see you get your hands on a new cervello soloist and compare it to a tcr or tarmac !
This is crazy!! Looks awesome!! Quick question: what software did you use to do the data overlays?
The real winner here is your heart, being able to push past 200bpm at your age! Your heart deserves a trophy
Pura Energía!!!!!
Excellent video my friend!!! The races you participate in are really cool! Brother, what software do you use to load the test statistics?
sehr geil!
Great race, you def gave it your all, shame they were able to stay on you and make the pass at the end.
BEASTTTTTTTTTT
great race and video, thanks for the motivation. how do you do to insert the data on the video? (watts, speed, bpm, rmp?
Non stop uptown
OMG how strong it is!
마치, 나도 같이 달리는... 대단하다!!!
So impressive 200 bpm!
Good job
Hypers. Real men right there, boy.
Yes people overtook him near the finish line but in my eyes he won! You won man!
Impressive!
Welp, that’s racing for you!! So hard to 100% control.
Hi Jeff Thank you for nice videos and content. I follow your channel from Denmark. I just bought the GoPro 11, and about to start filming some races. But I have a few questions. How do you make a GoPro battery last for a full race? And what would be an easy way to do overlays. I have seen you previous video about the overlays, but a lot has happened since that time? Maybe an updated video from you about this subject? Thanks again💪
Nice lead out
amazing
Really like your channel ! Can you provide data to use your heart zone and power zone as targets for home trainer workout ? Thanks !
Yes
Nice race,, on the left 48:50 stradalli bike?? How good are those bikes??
진짜 멋있다….
Hey, what setting do you use on your GoPro for this? I try to record our crits in Europe but mine runs out around 20 min 😑
Those cones are so dangerous!
nice job
Sheesh I get adrenaline from seeing everyone racing
you should do a video on your camera setup
Hey Jeff is it your record or someone’s? I like to watch your videos. That last lap is not what you usually do. Why you got the front? What if you didn’t get the front of group? What if you’ve waited until last 200m? This was beautiful video. Learning so many things like always. Thank you

This was one of his teammates (Ryan). He not only has a beastly sprint as well, but he’s been pretty successful with his launching early strategy.
Massa demais
Tough break, pun intended.
204 bpm damn that's insane
Apparently I'm racing this weekend and the course has bricks that are usually wet gonna be wild
what program overlays geodata on video?
Can u suggest me how do u insert the speed and power detail in u clip.
any chance you can do a review on a Titanium bike? Ti Frame and Carbon fork or Ti Frame and Ti Fork !!!!!!
How did your gopro battery last this long?
惜しい、でも本当に強い人間ですね
Criteriums are the ultimate battle of quick ,strategy, bike skills, and if there's any flaws with your bike,it will get exposed/..There's no spare wheels, no feed stations, no support cars.etc..
That hurts

at first I didn’t understand what happened either, but in slow motion I saw how the switch tensioner went into the spokes and after that the chain sagged
And what settings did you use?
HR holy shittttttt !!!!
This race is realy fast
Homeboy just overextended himself during that last lap. So close 🥲.
Do you have any suggestions for a beginner road bike under 2k?
Se adelantó muy rápido
Massive crowd - at least 10 lining the road !! - WTF is wrong with people in the US - This racing looks so explosive and exciting to watch. In the UK this would have a massive audience
