US official’s response to Gaza ceasefire resolution leaves reporter perplexed | Janta Ka Reporter

Israel on Monday reacted angrily to America’s decision to not use its veto power to the ceasefire resolution at the UN Security Council. Benjamin Netanyahu decided to not send the delegation, which was expected to arrive in the US this week to discuss the concrete plan for the planned Rafah invasion.
However, the reaction by a State Department official gave an impression that the UN was irrelevant and the US had taken upon itself to achieve the ceasefire in Gaza through negotiations.

That's exactly is my position. What is the significance of their forcing "Human rights and rule of law" on the whole world. They support breaking of resolutions of UN by Israel. Also, the U.S.A is responsible for toppling of governments not in agreement with them. The leadership of such governments are taken out. Iraq and Libya are examples.

But how long did it take to take action against Saddam? He was in power and in breach of United Nations resolutions for a very long time, it was the 9/11 event that put him and his regime in the target scope of the US, if you are naive enough to think anyone will go up against a nuclear power is living in a dreamland.

Your question relates more to the United States vetos and support of Israel while the United Nations appears to be pointless. Believe me, its far from pointless, with no opposition, there is no change. The people will keep demanding until changes come, nobody lives forever and change will come even through death itself.

"It is a shameful example to observe today how the entire democratic world dissolves in tears of pity, but then, in spite of its obvious duty to help, closes its heart to the poor, tortured people.” These words were uttered in 1939 by none other than Adolf Hitler who was speaking about the nine hundred plus Jewish war refugees who attempted to escape Nazi persecution by sailing away from Europe on the ship St. Louis. Unfortunately, these refugees had to return to Europe just a few short months later when no country outside of Europe, including the United States, would take them in or give them asylum, and two hundred fifty four of them are known to have later perished in the Holocaust. It is my sincere hope that the poor, tortured Palestinian people find some comfort in these words of Hitler as I hear they hold him in rather high esteem!

Holding account to what? The death of every innocent civilian is the fault of Hamas: 1. World pressure has caused Israel to make dangerous security concessions over the last 20 years that have led to the 7 October 2023 massacre by providing work permits for Gaza residents to enter Israel. Between January and August of 2023, 400,000 entries from Gaza to Israel of mostly Arab Muslim Palestinians played a significant roll in Hamas’ planning and gathering of detailed family-based intel about their targets along 30 sites in the south of Israel. The terrorists invaded with exact maps detailing communities and members of households, as well as instructions on what to do to them. An example-Ofir Libstein, an Israeli politician, served as head of Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council from 2018 until his murder by Hamas on 7 October 2023 during the Kfar Aza massacre. In partnership with Sderot, Libstein planned the Arazim industrial zone near the Erez crossing that would enable up to 10,000 Gazans to work in Israel every day, provide infrastructure for renewable energy for Gaza, in addition to a program for fresh water with pipes (WHICH HAMAS UPROOTED FOR THEIR ROCKET MANUFACTURE). Also, Arazim was to provide training, education, and medical treatment to Gazans. 2. Hamas terrorists started this war on 7 October 2023 by raping, mutilating, beheading, and burning innocent unarmed civilians. Hamas terrorists knew that Israel would defend their civilians and try to save their hostages. Why didn’t these Hamas terrorists ready provisions for the Gaza civilians? 3. Hamas abducted innocent civilians to prevent IDF ground defensive strike and the reason they do not want Arab Muslim Palestinians to leave Gaza is to increase the number of civilian deaths to urge the international community to call for a ceasefire. So, anyone who calls for a ceasefire before Hamas is destroyed, will be responsible for more deaths that will occur. 4. Hamas terrorists are hiding (like the spineless cowards that they are) in tunnels that span 500 KM. These tunnels can accommodate and hold Gaza civilians. But, Hamas terrorists are using the Gaza civilians as shields. 5. Aerial photographs of Hamas controlled oil tanks in Gaza are reportedly being withheld from hospitals by Hamas. 6. Hamas and other jihadi rockets routinely fall short in Gaza. The IDF cares more about Gaza civilians than the cowardly Hamas terrorists as evidenced by restraint shown on the IDF’s part, otherwise Gaza by now would be an empty field of smoke. LEARN HISTORY AND STOP PROJECTING ARAB GENOCIDAL INTENT ON JEWS. Mosab Hassan Yousef: “Evacuating civilians from Gaza to Egypt has been the most logical thing to do from day one, but how would the UN and all those who profit from the conflict stay in business if there was no humanitarian crisis?”

@@Cherish1056 UN resolutions are certainly regarded as symbolic by the pro-Israelis apologists : [ Times of Israel, 3 January 2023] "The United Nations General Assembly passed more resolutions critical of Israel than against all other nations combined in 2022, contributing to what observers call an ongoing lopsided focus on the Jewish state at the world body. The General Assembly approved 15 anti-Israel resolutions last year, versus 13 resolutions criticizing other countries, according to a tally by the pro-Israel monitoring group UN Watch. Russia was the focus of six resolutions condemning its invasion of Ukraine. North Korea, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Syria, Iran and the US were hit with one resolution each. [...] Since 2015, the General Assembly has adopted 140 resolutions criticizing Israel, mainly over its treatment of the Palestinians, its relationships with neighboring countries and other alleged wrongdoings. Over the same period, it has passed 68 resolutions against all other countries, UN Watch said. "

No China and Russia didn't cynically vetoed the previous resolution, which didn't call for a ceasefire, and was linked to support a negotiation in Doha with limited goals, and which is hold for weeks now. It was a lame resolution, just pro domo, to enable criticism and lies on China and Russia, it was NOT supported by Arab countries either !

UN resolution is as binding as your complicity and involvement with Israeli crimes

It's not binding in reality none of the members of the security council are willing to send their armies to enforce it. Who will force Hamas to release hostages when it said no? No one. Who will force soldiers on both sides to stop fighting? No one will send their armies
