Why not just use the current landing spots already present? Sure they do not have a proper harbor but there's already spots from north to south suitable to unload goods at, it have even been done previously in this very conflict. This pier is either A, a publicity stunt(seem most likely) or B, is intended for multiple purposes.

The Gaza Marine field was discovered in 2000 by British Gas, (see Sunak family investment connection - Infosys and BP ) ,which had signed a 25-year exploration deal with the Palestinian Authority in 1999 under the Oslo II Accord that gave Palestinians maritime jurisdiction over waters extending 20 miles from the coast. Does that explain anything ? Gaza holds about the same hydrocarbons (Gas offshore) and oil as Saudi Arabia (estimated). IDF have cleared the ground to let USA and Israel take it over.

I saw 2 x trucks that looked half full at best. The dock is a nonsense as far as aid for Gaza is concerned. NOTICE they did not talk about how many tons of aid. 500 trucks carrying one apple is 500 apples. How many ferries are loading this dock, as that limits the number of trucks? Why no long shots of the docks or the land/roads in front of the docks? If the IDF are the ones guarding these trucks we have seen how they look away when real trucks were attacked.

I don't understand why all of this is not under the UN security. The UN can draw military force without UK US or any other countries that are against the cease fire

If my government was really committed to getting humanitarian aid to Gaza, they would’ve sent some US troops in to escort the aid trucks have been waiting outside Gazza for months. They could’ve protected that aid from the settlers and the IDF. That could’ve happened in two days instead of two months.
