Thanks for sharing your work with us guys. I think this conflict has always been 1 sided. China hasn’t even begun to fight back yet. The American are trying hard to drown the Chinese. All the Chinese did were displaying their buoyancy. They didn’t even move one muscle yet. That’s what caught my attention. That’s very uniquely TAO like characteristic.

@Stephen lee Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The secrets of TAO is to let the enemies defeat themselves. It’s better than the “Art of War” by Sun Tzu. The natures of an unrested mind are unstoppable tornado like thoughts chasing oneself until one is completely exhausted and give up. The best thing is, there’s no enemy at the end.

China isn't "fighting back". There is much more to do to have direct conflict. RCEP, China-EU investment, China-Saudi new investment, and new batch of BRI investment coming. China is smart. American is hoping that China, they will spend more energy dealing with them to deter China growth. But China still keep on course on that they should do. Like doing BRI projects, US has no way to stop them as Americans are not known to build infrastructure or even urbanisation.

I believe it is the USA that underestimate China. The Americans walk on the air but the Chinese walk on the ground. The Americans productivity is based on services. The Chinese productivity is based on building things. The Americans foreign policy is based on narratives. The Chinese foreign policies is based systematic cultivation of relationships. You are right on one thing. Here, whoever underestimates the other will be the one that will eventually lose. Not sure whether you see the foreign countries that lined up to meet president xi during G20. Let’s look at human nature. It’s those who are most bless that will slack and eventually collapse. Who is blessed with a reserve currency? Who is blessed with a hegemony presence around the world? Who has the head start? It is this that will fail. You can talk to the Romans and latest the British. They lost because they are ahead and abuse it and take things for granted. The Americans will no be different. The Americans right up to the 1970 and after are vastly different. What happen after 1970. Nature have a way to get back at those who oppress, who plunder and who powered over others.

America is declining because our society is declining. There’s no middle class, Christian ethics are dying and being replaced by nihilism or Nietzschian strong man thought. And without an investment in the success of society, people will just go for their own selfish interests which is causing us to decay into a third world country. They spent all our money on bombs and there’s none left for any other purpose.

I dislike the theories of you and Graham Alison proclaiming "Great Power Conflict" when in fact "human civilization" has been built, stone upon stone, over 100,000 years by people "working together." Humans are classified as "social animals" but your lack of "sociological depth" imagines endless "brave warriors" and endless wars that intelligent persons try to stop by having some sort of awareness of "human spirit" that enlightens all 8 billion people, together on that little planet, a blue ball in space, planet Earth (OUR Home).
