In this video, we’re going to talk about how to read urine test strips. If you’re interested in using urine test strips, this video is going to simplify them for you.
Urine test strips are not made to diagnose anything. They are simply there to give you clues to potential irregularities in your body.
Most urine test strips test 10 things:
1. Protein - Too much protein could be a sign of kidney disease, dehydration, intense exercise, or a kidney stone.
2. Leukocytes - High levels could suggest an infection, UTI, or kidney stone.
3. Ketones - A potential sign you’re on a low carb diet, or you have diabetes
4. Glucose - Levels higher than 180 could indicate diabetes.
5. Nitrites - This could be a sign of nitrate-reducing bacteria, such as E. coli or gonorrhea.
6. Blood - Could indicate UTI, intense exercise, or kidney stones.
7. Urobilinogen - Could be a sign of liver damage, cirrhosis, or hepatitis.
8. pH - Levels between 6 and 7.5 could indicate uric acid stones or too much protein.
9. Specific gravity - Highly-concentrated urine could indicate dehydration.
10. Bilirubin - Could be an early sign of liver damage or a blocked bile duct.

I have had a history of blood in my urine with no infection. Doctors have no clue. I chalk it up to an irritated bladder, most likely caused from molds and mold toxins in the environment. I use marshmallow root to coat and soothe the bladder when it feels achy. Works great!

You have a histamine intolerance/ Mast Cell Activation Disorder. The blood is from Hunner's Ulcers in your bladder from the HIT/MCAD. Eat low histamine. The reason you're sensitive to mold and possibly chemicals is also due to MCAD.

Cool idea Doc, I’ll buy those for my morning routine. If anyone is interested in just the keto urine test, in the USA Walmart pharmacy sells keto urine strips for only $5 for a bottle of 50. I like to cut them in half lengthwise so I get double the strips. It’s helpful at letting you know if you are keeping your carbs low enough for ketosis.

Dr. Berg is definitely following us. LOL. I literally took a test last night to see if I have a UTI. That is where I learned about Leukocytes, last night on the packaging. I do have a UTI, when I saw this video just now, I froze in my steps, especially at the beginning because I saw what looked like the word Leukocytes on the board behind him. Lol. What makes this more funny is that I had tried to find a video on YTIs during menopause especially last night from Dr. Berg, then today bam here is a video on this. Thank you add. Berg, you are the human version of google, Web M.D., and the encyclopedia all rolled into one. Thank you for your studying and sharing of so many topics vital to health. I’m so glad God gave you the knowledge to teach people about the human body.

Instead of telling her that her artificial sweetener could be causing her pain the doctor took out her gallbladder. So PLEASE find a good doctor, still do the test but let your doctor know and then work together to your best health. If you cannot be absolutely honest with your doctor find a different doctor.

@Violett Fem suggest me a good channel. I am confused because each person says a different information. Some say that we need exercise everyday; some say we need to exercise one a muscle group and rest that muscle group for 3 days while exercising on another muscle group, etc... Thanks in advance for suggesting a good channel or expert for women's fitness. (I want this information because I lost lots of my weight and also my muscles during covid lockdown. 😭 I want to gain back )

Thank you so much. Do you have (or can you make) videos on kidneys ... especially related to chronic kidney stones ( specifically calcium-oxilate stones ) and can they cause a kidney infection. Also explain what damage stones do to the kidney and whether this is permanent or accumulative damage. And how resilient the kidney is and whether it bounces back an recovers. (Calcium-oxalate stones) And clarify what is kidney disease and what causes it. Thanks in advance.

Every single time I see the leukocyte section turns purple ( light purple). No infection according to the urine culture test. Nitrite is negative. All the other sections are normal. I don’t know what is wrong with me.
