LYRICS:
He was the wizard of a thousand kings
And I chanced to meet him one night wandering
He told me tales and he drank my wine
Me and my magic man, kinda feelin' fine
He had a cloak of gold and eyes of fire
And as he spoke, I felt a deep desire
To free the world of its fear and pain
And help the people to feel free again
Why don't we listen to the
Voices in our heart?
Cause then I know we'd find
We're not so far apart
Everybody's got to be happy
Everyone should sing
For we know the joy of life
Peace and love can bring
So spoke the wizard
In his mountain home
The vision of his wisdom
Means we'll never be alone
And I will dream of my magic night
And the million silver stars
That guide me with their light
Ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah

One of my first Albums that I ever purchased myself with lawn mowing money, I still have it. I cherish this song more today than ever before, I actually cry now, we were never meant to live this way, stuck in some kind of slave construct or open prison. I am seeing a split though as of late, there seems to be many waking up, but just as many or more that seem dependent on the system, perhaps we are seperating, I pray for a positive future, especially for the children.

Hi!!/Salut!! when I'm talking about Uriah Heep, I'm talking about the "Dream Team" back in the 60's and 70's but, I don't know Uriah Heep after the departure of David Byron. So, you write Godfathers of metal.......to me, it's impossible cause Uriah Heep play only one "kind" of music.......it's not rock, metal,or any kind of music that I know before the 1st time I see them in concert back in 1972. To me, Uriah Heep well, they play URIAH HEEP music and nothing else. Don't get me wrong, cause I have nothing again the group after the Byron-Thain era, but, I never been the same since Jan. 20 1972. then 1974(with Savoy Brown) and again in 1977 or 78 for the ultimate concert: Uriah Heep & Jethro Tull. The U.H. sound maybe metal for some but, to me it's a unique sound. Have a good day....from Montréal

My favorite song from my all time favorite band 🤩
I discovered this song in 10th grade 1981. It was like unearthing a rare stone. I was high and the art work on the album sleeve was affected by blacklight and the smell of incense and weed and this song. I always think of that when I hear this. A really cool time to be a teenager. The 80's were a lot different than today. I'd go back.
