This video covers the basics of upwind sailing. Master this stuff and you'll be 90% there. Getting the right setup is the first stage. Once you have that you have the continuous task of reacting to wind shifts, gusts & lulls. This video covers basic sail trim, boat balance, centreboard positioning and Velocity Made Good (VMG) whilst sailing upwind. We also cover the use of telltales and a burgee to give you clues.
