Laser Sailing like Olympians || Upwind in Windy Conditions
Спорт
20-25 knots is where many of the best sailors in the world thrive. In this video, I break down how the world's best Laser sailors manage these conditions, and the things you can do to get faster on the race course.

Epic video Dan, can you do one with Olympians going downwind in windy, wavey weather, please?

Hi Dan, most of your great videos can be perfectly used by AERO-sailors. But the boats are a bit different. If you do have a chance to sail an AERO, maybe you could do a video on the differences a sailor has to consider. Since many AERO-sailors use Laser vids, many sailors would be happy about such video(s).

I haven't had the chance to sail an Aero, but this is a great video idea. Thanks for watching!
In similar conditions with higher wave, I feel like I can't get the boat to steer as much as I move the rudder. Plus I feel like I'm easing too much sheet due to a lower speed. I'm still trying to understand why...

An important point is going to be making sure you have enough cunningham on. If you're cunningham is tight, you will move the draft of the sail forward, which will reduce weather helm and make steering the boat easier. The important thing with easing sheet is to keep the boat flat. If the boat isn't flat, this will also affect your ability to steer.
