I have a Nuwave oven that we got the pizza kit for that had a round silicone tray made specifically to cook pizza upsidedown so the crust stays nice and crispy. Been making pizza this way for years, over a decade if I'm remembering correctly. I like to brush garlic butter over the crust at the beginning so the flavor melts into the crust and then give it an extra five minutes right side up in the oven because I tend to crumble bacon on top and want it to be warm and crispy when I bite into it. So good! 😁👍

DUDE!! I think you’ve saved my marriage!! Hubby gets SO MAD at me whenever he buys us a pizza for dinner and I HATE the dough part of the pizza. So I’ll eat everything off the slice and leave the bottom. “REALLY?! Why do you do that?!” “Cuz I hate mushy squishy textures!!” I need the crunchy crust we used to get in high school pizza. A quick tip for your awesome masterpiece! Anytime you’re dealing with pizza dough, on top or on bottom, 2 things need to happen. (1) use a fork to poke holes in the dough and (2) brush the dough with oil. I prefer seasoned olive oil. That’s olive oil I dropped some garlic cloves in and some chili powder, possibly some liquified onion… a little basil… a shake or 2 of oregano… Garlic butter also works great! The dough doesn’t like to brown with out either oil or whipped egg being brushed over it. The same is true for biscuits.
