Dr. Walrath, I'm an oculoplastic surgeon in the Twin Cities. Your video is the best no-nonsense description of eyelid surgery I've seen on KZread. Your straightforward explanations, realistic revision rates, and unapologetic approach ("I don't do facelifts") are incredibly refreshing. Congrats.

A great video that even a layman like me could appreciate the content explained in simple manner.
This was so wonderfully informative as I just had a consultation today for mild ptosis in both eyes. Thanks for taking the time to put this together!
Great video explanation
Thank you so so much this give me hope,I had my surgery done two weeks ago and my eye lid has yet to move up ❤So I see that you said this takes a month for it to move up. I see my eye surgeon in six weeks, although my swelling has went down really really fast. My eyelid is still the same before prior to my surgery.😢
This doctor is absolutely amazing!!!!!! I'm impressed

What type of ptosis you had? And does it cause lid lagging?
Great video. I think I have ptosis and doing my research to decide if surgical correction should be done sooner than later. I've noticed progression of the drooping for approximately a year.
Excellent video, I live in San Diego, I wish you had an office in CA.
I need to make my appointment!
Im asking about todos repair, one eyelid cresce is higher and the eyelid is a bit more closed
Hmm? I'm going to see if I can get my upper correction since the lower blepharoplasty incision pulled the lid down more. I'm constantly with a runny eye on the side the upper lid is worse. I'd say that lid covers near my pupil too.
I have ptosis. It effects my vision. I have also had Bell’s palsy twice on the same side of my face, but I don’t have any negative effects from it. I also have dry eyes. What causes ptosis?
Sir m jaw winking syndrome patient surgery correct tis condition after surgery any problems sir please tell me
Long Island NY location ?
I wish I could come to you, but I live in Germany. I really need help! My problem is, is had mild ptosis in my right upper lid from birth, but 2 weeks ago I had surgery done to my neck (benign tumour removal) and they damaged the sympathetic nerve which resulted in Horner´s syndrome, and it affects the same eye. So now I have got "double ptosis" :(. Could you please tell me if it is the same muscle that is now double affected by two ailments (congenital AND post surgery neurologic problem) or if it is two different muscles that are affected (one congenital and the other one from surgery)? My pupil is only just free, depending on my state of tiredness. I am able to pull up the eyelid just enough to see properly without using the eye brow, but it is exhausting to the lid muscle when I try to open it really wide. Do you think I need the frontalis sling or might the usual procedure possibly be enough to fix this?
I have severe ptosis caused by a neuromuscular disorder. Ocuplastic docs are skeptical they can help me.
Is it permanent?
Which office do YOU work at? I would like to make an appointment TO SEE ONLY YOU.
I am plastice iecs

I love this video. Please teach these Beverly Hills Bozo Doctors how to get it right.
