Back to where i can get enough signal to watch HD and there was a lacking of views; I'll just have to go back and watch the last few weeks where I've been struggling for a connection. All looking good upgrades, that carrier looks heavy though, for what its carrying it doesn't need to be that heavy duty? Actual wheel is still on the door right?

Hi, hope all is well. When doing a horsepower upgrade, it is best to install an EGT (engine gas temp) sensor, to monitor the EGT's. It is recommended that max EGT's should not exceed 700celcius. Greetings

You did a great upgrade: engine and elect power, storage... You will feel much more confortable. I also have one Defender 2.2l reprogrammed at about 150hp, but far from your very complete set-up. I love my defender with the feedom it provides by its capabilities. With the engine torque increase you must keep an eye on your transmission. The intermediate axis of the transfer case is a bit weak and it could be damaged. A reinforcement is possible if needed. I love the images you share. You visit great places of course, but you provide a very high level of quality of the video. Thank you for sharing. Love you guys, from southern France.

Hey guys. Be cautious about the integrity of Hannibal’s back door hinges. With the total weight ( spare wheel +steel carrier ) you’ve added a lot of extra weight to them. It is possible to come lose , worst case scenario could be that they crack. A solution could be to reinforce the metal around the hinges to prevent further damage. Good luck

Albo 2.0 looks good - he’ll be able to fly up the mountains now with all that extra power. It really wasn’t a delay. The job finished early at only 7 or 8 days over estimate - I think you forgot you were in South America. But it’s easy to forget where you are when you only see the world from the inside of a garage. Looking forward to seeing more of Peru.

Great episode. I’m so glad you got the Starlink installed. It has allowed me to avoid going back to cities when we’re in travel adventures for work stuff in the middle of forests and deserts 🌵.

That is exactly what our aim is. We want to be able to upload our videos from wherever. At the moment we are bound to find correct internet wifi weekly and it is not that easy and forces us back in cities. We re excited

I think you will really like those upgrades on your next adventures. Those chassis boxes are a great idea for spare parts and tools. Do you notice a difference driving with the wheel carrier and star link on the back. I probably would have crashed driving in Lima. It sounds like a mess on the streets!

Well, that was a very interesting technnical episode. Hope your upgrades works out for the better. I got a bit of a chuckle when Nick commented about the drivers in Lima and obeying the traffic rules (if any). You may find the drivers in Bolivia are the same or may be worse🤭. when I go and visit there I let my brother do the city driving. I stick to what I do best, off road driving.

My wife and I have never done anything like this, but we just bought a defender and are having the interior set up for overlanding. We want to drive through Europe and Africa, but the biggest issue we are running into is insurance! How do you get car insurance policies that allow you to drive in all these countries? We're from the States and have been unable to find anything.

No insurance will insure your vehicle for such trip (or at least it is the case in most countries). In general you find insurances for each country you go to. For Europe you should find something in Europe that insures your vehicle, but in Africa it is most likely you ll only get third party. That is our case in most of the countries.

Hi, the hoses is only one part of the job. we have done an entire remapping of the engine using the company BAS remap :)

For now we have enough water so we might see in the future if we need to do the change. But in South America we find water easily. We might need to change later on on the world tour

We need more time to test but so far we really really happy. EGR numbers are good and it seems we improved the MPG but that will need more testing

So far so good. We feel the engine gain on the low gears most. The fuel consumption seems to have increased but we need to test better to be able to assess. We re very happy with it

Thank you so Nick! No we re not planning to. Too scared hahahah Hahaha I (mathilde) love notion but I use it for managing my projects and life and the creation of the KZread episodes. It s not really something we use for the trip. Although I m sure it would be perfect for managing finances, plannings, etc … it s so flexible that with the right pages settings it could be awesome

Il vaut mieux faire un vrai remapping que de mettre ces prises qui trompent le moteur pour en augmenter la puissance.

This episode felt very quick, stressy, choppy and “dispassionate”. The interesting and exciting mechanical installations seemed very superficially edited. Almost as if you have absolutely no interest in it. I personally (and maybe your sponsors aswell) would have liked it, if you went a bit more in to depth what gear you're using, how to mount it, what are the workshops in Lima like and so on. It felt like an action movie for kids. Your commercial and Mathilde talking took longer than the actual installation/transformation part. First time I did not enjoyed an episode from you, unfortunately. Greetings Ben

Hey Mathieu, so far we really like the remap! We will debrief more when we get to test it longer. For the chassis boxes the code should still be valid. If you contact roverland he should be able to apply it for you.
