Just ordered a key fob

I did mine a couple months ago, and had a very hard time finding someone to cut the keys. 1 - They wanted to sell me "their" key. 2 - They wouldn't cut them because they weren't the proper "chipped" keys. Don't even bother trying Home Depot to cut them for both reasons. Finally found the guys at Ace Hardware to cut them.

I went to a do it best which was an ace they didn’t question it they just did it!

@@NajarOffroad My local Ace has the newer machine (like home Depot) where they insert both keys in the slots and it cuts them. So I didn't need to take mine apart. :)

Ace Hardware is great. Sometimes you can get lucky with a good locksmith and they will cut "Flat keys" for a few bucks and they might cut what you bring them.

can you do a video in how you can put a push start in your jeep i been tryin to learn how to do that for a while now

@@NajarOffroad been wanting to do that and passive entry (just leave key fob in your pocket, like new cars). would be great if you made a video on push start, specifically the issue of the transponder. Also I thought that if you turned on the jeep without the chip it would lock itself down?

so i have a anti theft system on my jeep where i have to push a button before turning my key so it can start. would i still be capable to do this? just having to keep that button with me.

Yooo my man love the videos best place to find info on my jeep question about this tho I have aftermarket remote start ! Would I still be able to do this mod and retain my remote start !? Thanks 🙏🏽

Hey bro, i switched over the parts on the old fob key to the new one exactly and carefully placed back into the new one but, it doesn't work and I even replaced the batteries Im stuck

Make sure the contact points in the rubber piece are touching the board. Try putting the rubber piece from the original key fob and see if that makes a difference. Last check the battery make sure it’s making good contact. I had a buddy who didn’t install the battery correct and wasn’t making contact

You can do just one key! Or you can do two and cut the end with the transmitter and zip tie it on the bottom of the ignition! Check out Project Dan H to see how to do that

Lol fucker I jumped the gun before finishing the video I went an bought the fobs, but if I would of waited for you to talk about the package. Haha I would of gotten that.

pretty bad video. your thumbs are in the way. you give directions like just do this and then that and there you have it. battery connections are not as easy as you show.
